I've seen some bridesmaid dresses I love, but I haven't even got my dress yet and as we have well over a year I know things could change with my bridesmaids bodies..... in fact things will with one of them as she had her baby this December.

They're on the bay and I'm not worried about them going, at least I'm hoping they won't, they're a pretty simple style so I'd like to think I could get hold of them or something very similar at any time really.

Just wondering when you think is the best time to order bridesmaid dresses? I'm getting married August 2015.... do you think I should hold off until the beginning of 2015? or even later.

Once I've got the dresses we are going to want to play about with sashes as well to get the exact look I'm going for.

Im getting married in October this year and desperately want to order my BM dresses but am going to wait as long as I can. The ones I've seen are also on the bay of E and Im not worried about them going as there are quite a few in a similar style. My bridesmaids are 3, 14, 18 and 19 so can't see the older 2 changing much but the younger 2 have potential to change completely. It's very difficult because Im the sort of person that wants everything yesterday but I think patience is needed on this one!! xxx

Its so exciting isn't it, I really want to order them now but know that is silly.
I am planning on looking for my dress in july/august, once I have decided I will get my bridesmaids to try on different style dresses to see what suits them, but probably wont order until jan/feb next year at the earliest.
I have my eye on this dress & really hope it suits my bridesmaids.

I bought my adult bridesmaid dresses in September 13 and we get married in December 14 so 15 months before. I wanted champagne gold and couldn't find many on the high street that I liked so when I found some in Co@st that all three bridesmaids liked I purchased them. I wanted them early on so I could base the colour scheme around them if that makes sense. I have two younger bridesmaids/flowergirls (not decided yet) who will be 6 and 7 but I am not getting there dresses till this September (3 months before) as they usually have a summer growth spurt! I chose/ordered my dress in December 13 so three months after buying the bridesmaid dresses. It may be best to wait until your bridesmaids post baby weight/figure has settled down? Do any of your other bridesmaids fluctuate in size regularly? Any planning babies? If you really like them then maybe get your bridesmaids to try them on and see what you think (they may or may not suit them all) and go from there.

    Happy shopping :-)

Wait... Ice literally only just bought my BM dresses, and unless your getting them from a bridal shop and they get them altered then it's pointless to get them so early xx

My other bridesmaid doesn't fluctuate, she has a lovely figure and she seems to just keep it... but she does a lot of dancing ect. She isn't planning any babies.... but with just under 18 months to go you never know what will happen on that score do you. lol.

Although they're not from a bridal shop, I could still have them altered if need be, but I'd rather not have to. If we order them I won't mind having them taken in to look nicer if they need it.... but obviously would rather not order them not and then have to have alterations done because they don't fit.

I just have no idea when the best time to order would be, would 6 months be too early? It's an awkward one isn't it as like you've said, you need them to sort schemes out ect. and I would like to know I have them as well.

I personally wouldn't get them till you've got your dress cos what looks right next to one bridal gown won't next to another so you may find you have to rethink one you get yours
