Does anyone else have really sensitive skin, and if so could they please ,please recommend a miracle cure for me. i seem to flare up at the drop of a hat and i'm worried that i'll start to get stressed as the wedding gets closer and that'll make it worse!!!

Flossie, there's quite a few threads about this. A lot of us girls suffer and we've all been trying different lotions and potions out.

I have eczema and oily combination skin but really sensitive, suffer with spots, the lot.. I use No7 and cleanse tone moisturise twice a day and use a microdermabration cream twice a week. My face is pretty good at the moment but the rest of my skin is horrible, the sun has dried my eczema out loads and where I'm sunburnt it stands out even more. I have a cream from my doctor which I use to wash with and as a body lotion but my GP also said it will get worse before it gets better! Grrr

I never use anything with perfume in, I always find if I do I'll end up with a rash or spots and apparently a dairy free diet works wonders but a few of us tried it and lasted about 2 days lol!!

    xx

I have really sensitve skin, I can't wear natural fibres, and new creams/lotions bring out a rash on my neck. i've used Lancome products since I was 18 - I currently use the Hydra Zan range, and my skin has been settled for years. I tried a Loreal cream about a year ago (same company that make Lancome) and within two days I had the rash ... so switch back and a month later the rash had finally cleared up. My h2b loves my skin becuase he says it's really soft and smooth - I wouldn't wish my skin on my worst enemy!

Mine is mega sensitive.....if I touch something then touch my face i end up with big blotches.....I only use unperfumed, hypoallergenic stuff on my face, it seems to clear up for a wee while then its back to being spotty again. GRRR!!!!
It seems to be unfortunately the only thing i have left from my teenage years :-(

I hadn't had any trouble with my skin since i was about 8 - used to get eczema. Suddenly it has come back - all over my forehead and spreading down my cheek! grr. not happy. picked up some eczema cream from the chemist - it hasn't touched it. phoned the doctor - i can have an appointment on friday! so i have to spend all week with a crispy, patchy dry face :(

My skin used to be rubbish too, then I started moisturising every day with good old Nivea. Cheap as anything and has worked wonders. Skin always feels lovely now too. When I was nursing on the wards I used to see quite a few 'older' ladies using it and they had fab skin and started using it to stay younger looking. Think its working...... lol x

MagicFairies - top tip for excemea - Aveeno. I used it on my son and it cleared him up a treat. And now my daughters boyfriend is using it and says it is excellent. Got wheatgerm in it and very moisturising. x

Tried clinique something with sensitive in the name (?) but no joy with that, don't mind though because it was quite expensive. lol x

Have you tried the bare minerals make up? I think it's fab, it's not heavy or dry on the face and is kind to sensitive skin, the foundation can also be used as a concealer and hides blemishes and red patches it's really good x

Get the kits when Debehnams do the 20% off days, that's when I stock up. I bought the starter kit then went and got the eyes, lips and cheeks kit. Next I'm getting the smokey eye one. I love the fact you look like you've hardly any make up on but it covers really well. It's really natural. My only gripe is it's messy, and hard to take out if you're on a night out and want to touch up your make up. But the kits are worth the money for the brushes alone x

I have ordered clinique products tho as iv heard they are ace!! alos been using freederm gel directly onto the spots adn it does dry them up however leaves u feel scaly dry skin in its place!! grrrrr id do anything for nice skin :-( xxx

Nutty - that sounds like the acne I had, and went on Roacutane for. Very strong drug, and my lips were very dry and cracked (use plenty of lip moisturiser!), but it worked, and was the only thing that did, and *touch wood* I've been fine other than the odd small spot or two at a certain time of the month. I have progress photos of my face - I took one every day from the start of my course of the drug - and I can barely stand to view the photos now, my face was sooooo bad.

I have horrendously sensitive skin. A few weeks ago I used some sun tan lotion ...it said for face and for sensitive skin/dermatologically tested and so on......after using it and not even getting much sun....I came out in what I can only describe as dry, stinging patches which felt like lots of blisters under my skin. While out I thought I would ask at the clinique skin care desk if there was anything I could use to get rid of the patches....she gave me the usual hype about clinique, but then told me she shouldnt say this but the best product she has found....far better than anything else is Nivea Pure and Natural Handcream with Argan Oil. Yes its handcream and I was laughing that she recommended it for my face......but hell it works, in two days my skin felt better than it ever has done. Its not dear but the Argan Oil is apparently one of the best things you can use for your skin. xxx
