Does anyone know anything about or has been to a wedding at Hodsock Priory or the Maynard in Grindleford. I'm looking into venues in the South Yorkshire/Sheffield area so any recommendations would be very welcome. Thanks

Hi, yes! Not the Maynard but I've been to Hodsock Priory and LOVE it! however, it's not cheap, the package we were looking at was 10 grand! However, George Buchanan who lives/owns/runs seems nice and actually offered to grow a pumpkin patch just for my centrepieces and decorations! (we're wanting to get married in October)
The error we made with this one is that we went to see Hodsock first but it ended up being out of budget... and it was so beautiful that nothing else has come close other than Rossington Hall... that's a new venue in Doncaster but it isnt for us sadly.
Have you thought about the Old Vicarage at Elkesley? I'm trying to convinve my h2b that we should go for a look, i've been to a wedding reception there and it was beautiful.
If there's anything else you want to know just ask xx

Thinking about Oct 2013, but may change that to take advantage of off season deals.
