Having a major stress...we have just found out that my H2B best man has just puled out of our wedding!!!!! :< So MMMMAAADDDD!!! We have a suit booked for him, shoes and thank you presents brought, meal for him and partner and a room booked for him which we will have to pay for. Some people are so selfish...I understand the reason, he is working on a ship and they wont pay his bonus if he leaves, but still if it was me I would leave regardless of them not being able to find a replacement for his job. He had a save the date two years ago and was asked to be nest man a year ago...so hes had enough notice!!!!!!! Am FUMING! Sorry to rant ladies :(

omg some amazing news today. There is no other bride... we were originally told there was but they got it wrong. We therefore have exclusive use other than normal hotel guests but there is no other bride yey. Glad we didnt pay 15k on top to ensure that didnt happen (couldnt afford that anyways). Therefore we have been told we can go in any room we want and if it rains for fireworks, we can go where they normally hold the other wedding and look out yey

Well had my dress fitting today & the dress is 2 sizes 2 big for me!!!! wooo hooo :-)
Only downside of today was that i fainted during the dress fitting because i asked for my dress to be tightend to much & it was rather hot!! How am i going to cope on my wedding day......
thanks phoebee I was made up. The suite we were going to have the buffet in is a normal conference room, not like the rest of the manor house so given there is no other bride, we can have the grand libaray which is amazing x

thanks kim... I was jumping for joy. I was so miffed and worried about having to share my day with another bride and am so relieved. Pretty peeved with the initial wedding planner for telling me there was a bride. Obviously she didnt check and assumed that because there are normally two weddings a day that there would prob be one for mine., After 18 months of worry (when she initially told me) all that worry was for nout!

oh eye. Im glad we swapped to boss man :) we met with him today and he was so amazing. You can tell hes good at his job and he suggested alternative rooms we could use since theres no other wedding which was great. And no additional charge.

oh no becky, thats pretty bad and all in one day. what's gunna happen about your church service? and what are the venue doing about making sure the room is ready in time for you?
im going for another meeting with the venue manager tomorrow, wasn't meant to see her again but due to lots of people splitting up this past week we've had to change half our tables around, we're down a table and reducing the amount we're catering for day and night. fingers crossed they can transfer the money paid for them to go towars corkage.

Morning Ladies, LOL Sian, I plastered my twitter/fb with the same thing this morning. Like Phoebee says you're the first one out of all of us!! Bet your well excited/nervous. Im feeling a little giddy today and i really couldnt say why. All i dreamt about last night was at first the Itinerary of the day, my teeth falling out in my dream!! (i was in horror) And then i felt like a child on Christmas Eve, I just couldn't sleep. I was wide awake at half 5!! The only thing that is happening today is im finally getting my hair dyed and cut for the wedding. Hope you have a good day today hunny, Ive not been to Warwick Castle since i was a kid!!

Yep Lottie, the dreams have started to be more frequent now, And a friend has just told me that the meaning of my dream i had last night (teeth falling out) Is meant to mean I'm apprehensive or pregnant. Erm we'll go with apprehensive about something i think! lol Especially as before that dream i was going over the itinerary in my head.

I thought that too, but i think it was just me over thinking things. My OH is also having bad wedding dreams too. Oh definately, we've been having so much hassle trying to please everyone and its causing so much stress. People tend to forget its our day to theirs. I would never dream of acting the way half of my 'family' members are. I'll be happy once i can see it all come together.

Oh goodness I'm also having the horrible dreams, although the worst has been in my dream I felt like there was something in my eye and when I looked in the mirror it was an ant, and I picked it out and when I looked again there was another one, and another and then I flipped my head over to shake out my hair and loads of insects fell out :( It was horrible!

Gosh, can believe August is here :/ I had my final haircut before the big day. My daughter had her hair trial, and she looked lovely. Friday i have my final dress fitting and make up trial. Feel like i have so much to do and feeling sick each time i think about the big day lol. Hopefully this will pass, although to make matters worse i found 2 grey hairs this morning :/ ekk!

Oh dear Roxy. Had a good day took the kids down the dungeon and they loved it and were very good considering they are only 3 and 4 years old, went up Merlin's tower as well, that was ok. Then it started to rain. :-(

I know, now that it's August it all seems so scarily real! Only 8 days to go! And from Saturday onwards everyday is all go :( I'm going to be so ready for honeymoon. We're having our rehersal on Sunday night so I think it will become really real then.

URGH!
Went onto ACCUWEATHER today, to look at wedding days weather forecast........RAIN! seems to look like its only in the morning though, not the afternoon.
Thats a long range forecast though, and its 10 days away yet, so I am hoping it might become more accurate the closer it gets, so I will check next week.

Had two people tell me yesterday they cant come to the day....ahhh....dont think some people understand what goes into organizing a wedding!!! Thankfully we have found a replacement, felt horrible asking though but she seemed to understand and be thrilled to be asked!

ffs! i seem to attract bad luck. Sod that it comes in threes, it just follows me!!! Dont have a wedding car now, my had my hair done, cut & dyed for the wedding....erm well....i look like a flipping scarecrow. I asked for honey/golden blonde highlights, i got bleach blonde highlights (foils) and a dark brown colour thru out.... the girl used Live colour home kit.... which washes out!! Its uneven, i paid for FULL head shes done HALF head. shes not done to the roots, and its orange, She said she would come back to sort it out but i dont want her touching my hair!!! Now shes not returning my calls after offering me my money back. Im holding back the tears literally. I just dont know what to do anymore. I just want this wedding to be over and done with right now..... i have no interest whatsoever!!

Oh god thats terrible Kimberlee1! How come you dont have a wedding car? I hope the hairdresser gives you every penny back! Do you know anyone who is a hairdresser or a friend that would be able to help you out, Those colour boxes are good cant remember the name of them but it takes the dye off your hair and put the colour back to your old colour (If that make sence) Ive used them a few times its about £10 x

Mrs brown 2b - A family friend said to us that we could use his Pontiac last year and so with it being 2 weeks til we get married we wanted to finalize everything. Rang/text him and hes not been returning our calls. My OH grandad cant even get hold of him and its his friend. We cant be waiting around to see if he decides to call us back because i could potentially be left without a car on my wedding day. I have contacted my normal hairdresser who says it can be sorted but it just means spending more money sorting it. And i really dont have the cash. If i had just gone to the salon where they wanted to charge me £85 it would have ended up costing the same now anyways. Yeah i know what ones you mean, but i dont want to touch my hair, will probs do more damage than good. Bex - Good Luck with venue hopefully you get it sorted. Im sure it'll work out for you. Ive got time but its money that is the problem. I shouldnt be having to go get it sorted. The girl told me shes been a hairdresser for 10 years!! cheek of it! I have final dress fitting Friday.

I know I can sew most things, but my dress isnt one of them. The hem needs taking up, and I cant get anyone to measure properly for the right length, and I cant do that myself. There are three layers to take up, the outer taffeta layer, the satin underlay, and then the silk part thats closest to your legs, all 3 need to be taken up.
Plus I want the boning sorting out as its too long in the body.......maybe removing it altogether, and I have still to do the bustle.
I rang a really nice lady seamstress called Sheila, that has apparently 27 years experience in wedding dress making and alterations, and she said she will do it all for me for £50....and to be honest I am going to let her......I just need a break from working on things. And £50 is pretty reasonable, to say that I can leave her to it and pick it up and its done. I am dropping it off tomorrow and she said it will take her a couple of days. so at the weekend I am hoping to go fetch it back.......it better be ready or I will panic big style!
