Ask any musician you hire to send you some bespoke sample recordings before you hire them, and don't be afraid to ask for exactly the songs you want - excellent musicians will be able to play them.

Get to know the musician you hire! They won't just be playing the playing the piano, but will be mingling with your guests, so it's important to get to know them beforehand.

Would really recommend Robbie to anyone looking for a pianist for their wedding. He was able to step in for us at short notice and accommodate all of our requests, for our traditional church ceremony & more contemporary pieces for our reception. Very professional & friendly and we really enjoyed having him perform for our special day!

Robbie is a charming person. In the months preceding our wedding he spoke with us on the phone so we could all talk over what would be good and what would be possible.
On the actual day his timekeeping was immaculate; his playing helped build just the atmosphere we wanted during our meal; he included a last minute request from a guest in his repertoire and his whole performance was brilliant.

We can’t recommend Robbie enough.
We can’t recommend Robbie enough. He played during the drinks reception at our wedding and it was SO beautiful. Prior to the wedding we discussed music we like and he played a mixture of all our favourite artists on the day. He is super friendly and approachable and all our guests enjoyed his playing. On a practical note, Robbie organised his set up with the venue so it was all very hassle free for us. Thank you Robbie for setting the tone at our wedding and providing us with such a lovely medley of songs!

We booked Robbie for our wedding ceremony in December 2022. He is very pleasant, professional, and incredibly talented. There was nothing that was no trouble, we expressed the songs we would like and was happy to accommodate. Robbie was even happy to learn songs that he was not familiar with. He is very easy to contact and responds quickly, he communicated with us regularly and sent samples for us to listen to. He really made our ceremony everything we had wanted; I always dreamed of having live piano at my wedding and he made it reality. Hi! I'm Robbie. I have played the piano since I was five years old and have played at weddings and other events since I was a teenager. The live music at weddings is so important and can elevate those special moments making them even more memorable for you and your guests. I spend a considerable amount of time before each wedding planning not only the songs I will play in collaboration with each couple, but also the planning and logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly. When you book a pianist to play at your wedding, it is so important that you are comfortable not only with the musician, but also the person who will be there on the day, interacting and mingling with your family and friends! The reviews I am most proud of have mentioned how friendly and approachable I am, and I try to get to know each couple a little before the big day so they can also get to know me. Finally, I do tailor what I do for each couple. Let me know your requests - you'd be surprised what songs can be adapted to create beautiful versions and I don't charge any extra to learn new songs from scratch - it's all part of the joy of being a live pianist and the opportunity to learn new songs.
