Rich with period feature but recently refurbished to an impressive standard, you really can have the best of both worlds. The interior boasts lots of mirrored pillars and tables, luxurious soft furnishings, heavy drapes and crystal dripped chandeliers, which add glittering accents to the dark and decadent colour palette.
Licenced for civil ceremonies, but neighbouring some beautiful churches and St Nicholas’ Cathedral, you have several options for your ceremony. And as for your photographs? Our neighbours include The Castle Keep, The Moot Hall, St Nicholas’ Cathedral, the City’s Bridges and The Black Gate, so there are endless backdrops for dramatic photographs - and you don’t have to go far in your heels! Time keeping. This is so important to ensure you’ve made time to do all those lovely little personal touches and details that you wanted to include.
Do it your way. Try to remember this day should be about two people (that’s you and your fiancé by the way) and it can be so easy to get wrapped up in family politics and trying to please everyone.
Try your best to eat some breakfast on your wedding day! I know you won’t be ‘hungry’ as the sheer adrenalin really does fill you up to the brim but you must eat something for those ‘few’ glasses

Meet the Wedding Coordinator
My journey in this wonderful industry began six years ago as I accepted the role as 'Wedding Coordinator' for a beautiful Northumberland venue, and essentially learned my trade. Since then I have gone on to work within some of the most incredible venues in our region be they countryside, coastal and of course... City Centre. Following my years as a coordinator of weddings, I was utterly flattered and super keen to accept the title of 'Head of Weddings' for such an iconic venue in Newcastle City. The Vermont Hotel has absolutely everything to offer. It has such style, history, features that no other venue in the city can compare with. I am extremely lucky to work where I do. I adore my job day in, day out. There's nothing quite like it. Everyone I deal with is so positive and passionate about their own work - it inspires me to be the same and better wherever possible. The wedding world is growing all the time which makes life so exciting in this industry and why after six years, nothing gets old or boring (hopefully I can include myself in such a statement!) Weddings are so personal these days and very much about a couple's tastes, style and personality which is why I love it so much. You really get to meet people and see their dreams literally come true. If you love your job, they say you'll never 'work' a day in your life. Just call me a 9-5 lady of leisure then!
