The Manor at Abberley

After becoming engaged my Husband & I decided that we just wanted a wedding that was both simple, reasonably priced, local and in that year if possible. We’d already been together 10 years, why drag it out? We luckily got all that.
After securing a date at our gorgeous medieval parish church in Heightington we began to look around at venues within a few miles. We didn’t want our guests having to travel that far.
Finding The Manor Arms was meant to be. It was just a few miles from the Church in the pretty village of Abberley. The views from the Manor are just breath-taking and this combined with the wonderful kept garden was what initially sold the place to us. After our first meeting with Carina (Wedding Planner & Manager) we then knew we’d found the right place.
The Manor Arms has the relaxed and warm atmosphere of a really lovely country pub but the larger size and amazing sprawling outdoors patio & garden area made it feel even more of a special venue. Carina could not have been more accommodating. When discussing the catering she came up with a multitude of options to suit our budget and continued to find solutions when we came back with questions. There was never a ‘no’ or ‘can’t do this’. There was only ever positive & friendly conversations and there were many conversations and meetings, during the whole 6 months; she was nothing but supportive. When we were concerned about costing, she found solutions. When we wanted a wider variety of food, she worked with the chef who came up with the most delicious menu. (The food was excellent by the way, use of locally in season produce very apparent.) When we wanted the venue decorated in a particular way, she listened to everything and dressed it up in the exact way we asked. We had a live band & Karaoke; that wasn’t an issue either.
The Manor Arms patio & garden turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Having invited a lot of families with young children and having a little boy ourselves the beautifully maintained area was not only reassuringly secure but allowed for the best entertainment. The children were able to run around in the large space and play (very loudly) without worry. Their parents could sit and relax which is what we wanted.
The accommodation at The Manor is also excellent. Our suite was beautiful with a gorgeous bathroom and although there are only 6 rooms it was enough for immediate family to be put up, with The Manor yet again coming up trumps and supplying extra beds & bedding for our children to be with us. (The Elms hotel just down the road was a perfect accommodation solution for many of our guests.) Breakfast the next morning was of a really high quality too. Very tasty and lots of variety.
Overall The Manor Arm’s staff worked their socks off during the whole of our stay. They couldn't do enough. Carina in particular was incredible and stayed with us throughout. Her energy and enthusiasm to make our day a success was there from day one. She invests so much of herself into The Manor, her standards and expectations of herself are very high and they show in every way. So many of our friends and family said the next day just how warm and friendly the staff were and how hard-working they were. They came away feeling that it was one of the most happiest relaxed weddings they’ve ever been to. A lot of that is down to the amazing Manor Arms staff and we are just so glad we chose them!

From the wedding planning through to our wedding day and beyond we have always had a great experience at the Manor Arms.
The management and staff are so friendly and were always on hand to help and support. The venue itself is really welcoming and tastefully decorated. We were lucky enough to get married outside with the beautiful back drop of the countryside, it really was the perfect day!

Everybody says that your wedding is the best day of your life, and it truly was. The Manor Arms was the perfect venue for our wedding, it was the perfect venue for the perfect day. Every time we met with Carina and the staff at The Manor Arms they couldn’t be more helpful and made everything easy for us. We made some changes to the set menu - nothing was too much trouble. Every one of our guests were amazed by the food - it was delicious! The views from the garden were unbelievable. We went over to set up the venue the night before and left some bits with Carina to see if she could find homes for. When we arrived on our wedding day, the room looked perfect, everything we had left Carina and the team had found a place for and the room looked amazing. The whole process from planning to the actual day was stress free and calm and we couldn’t be more greatfull. Would definitely recommend The Manor Arms if you are looking for an intimate space with amazing food and lovely views.
