Built at the beginning of the twentieth century, Claverton Hotel is a charming Edwardian property located in the heart of the East Sussex countryside. Beset on all sides by beautifully landscaped gardens, and with a charming ambiance throughout, it would make an ideal venue for the most intimate of weddings.

Originally built as a family home, Claverton boasts a unique marriage of first class service and comfortable atmosphere. The hotel can be exclusively yours for the entirety of your celebrations, enjoy it as the house as it once was – in all its grandeur and luxurious privacy.

The hotel has a Civil Licence for Weddings and Partnership Ceremonies in their light and spacious Dining Room. With the ability to host up to 60 guests, you can say ‘I do’ to the person you love in one of the most intimate and romantic spaces imaginable. Alternatively, Claverton can host outdoor summer wedding ceremonies in their picturesque grounds.

Your wedding breakfast and evening reception can be catered for in thier superb function suite with a capacity of 100 seated and up to 200 for your evening reception. A particular feature of this room are the huge bi-fold doors opening onto a large patio area and garden.

Once you’ve tied the knot, Claverton’s experienced and dedicated events team will be on hand to cater your reception with a truly mouth-watering menu selection. When you finally decide to call it a night and let the celebrations wind down, you and your guests can spend the night in one of Claverton’s comfortable bedrooms.

Our stunning country house feels as though it was made to host a wedding, with enviable privacy, exceptionally good food and a dedicated team of staff. We are licensed for civil ceremonies from two to sixty people, held in our recently renovated ceremony room. We can cater for up to 100 guests for the wedding breakfast and up to 200 guests in the evening. Wedding package we offer gives you exclusive use of the hotel, making it a perfect relaxing day with just your friends and family. The package rate is based on 22 resident guests in 11 bedrooms. All bedrooms are included on your quote, but you may 'sell' these rooms to your guests. We will handle the booking, deposit and money and deduct this from your final bill.
