Haarlem Mill has been running as an exclusive hire, industrial wedding venue since August 2018. Being a new venue allows the team to be completely flexible and accommodating to their couples, we work with you to customise every aspect of your day, from the order of the day to building bespoke menus for your wedding breakfast and evening food. With 15 years experience in catering, the in-house team will make sure your day is delicious from canapes to cheese board.
Our venue is sure to wow your guests, with lots of our reviews stating how guests are still talking about us months later. We've been completely transparent when creating our pricing structure for every aspect of the business - we won't charge you an arm and a leg for a pint just because your not about to nip down the road to the pub. All our bar and food prices are in line with up-market bars and bistros and our exclusive hire venue costs are inclusive of chairs, tables, cutlery, crockery and glassware.
We're tried to create an offering that allows you to do as much or as little as you like. You could turn up tomorrow having done no additional work and your wedding would go ahead, we don't expect you to hire tables or provide your guests with plates. That being said, we love seeing your creativity so you are welcome to decorate as much or as little as you like.
Struggling to picture how your day might go? You'll start the day in our beautiful bridal suite, boasting amazing countryside views, you can be joined by your hair and make up artists and bridal party to begin the preparations for the day, we can provide a light bridal breakfast and prosecco or you are welcome to bring your own snacks for this portion of the day. When your guests begin to arrive they'll be bought into our upper bar lounge where the bar will be open for those first drinks of the day. We work with Bakewell registrar who will arrive to carry out your civil ceremony.
Our job is to seamlessly navigate your day so we will direct your guests into the beautiful, bright ceremony room which can seat up to 125 people before sending you down the aisle to say your vows. You'll then return to the lounge (in colder months) or our private outdoor terrace (in summer months) for your drinks reception, we'll ensure you get a drink and canapes whilst you have your bridal party photographs taken, this is a great opportunity to put on a bit of entertainment for your guests. We've had magicians, musicians and kids play areas... bring your ideas to life with some of our fabulous recommended suppliers, who can be found on our website. Moving downstairs we'll seat you for your wedding breakfast in our banquet hall, we can provide banquet style seating on trestle tables for up to 128 or square tables for a maximum of 72.
Our friendly staff will serve your chosen menu efficiently and with a smile, always happy to help. You'll enjoy a feast of your favourite foods before making the speeches of the day. We'll then serve tea and coffee in the first floor lounge where guests will be invited to help themselves or order drinks at the bar, during this time we'll quickly and quietly turn the banquet hall into your reception room with a fantastic space for dad's best dance moves. Your DJ or band can come along and set up before your evening guests begin to arrive, with a max capacity of 160, the party can really get started. We will help you to coordinate first dances, cake cutting, sparklers and evening food.
Last orders at the bar will be called at 11.30pm before carriages at midnight. But hey... who are we to tell you how your day should go? Our exclusive hire venue is stunning industrial chic and steeped in history, but what makes us really stand out is our service. Our biggest priority is making sure you get the wedding of your dreams and that the planning process is as stress-free as possible. We have a number of delicious set menus designed for your wedding breakfast but if you have your heart set on a certain meal or if you want to do something a bit different then just let us know, we love to hear your ideas and we often create completely bespoke menus to suit our couples.
