Maria & Damon's Wedding Story
Maria and Damon first met in a coffee shop over seven years ago. After a romantic proposal the couple happened to find New Forest wedding venue The Montagu Arms by chance on a rainy December day in 2020. The couple married in early autumn 2022 surrounded by their closest family and friends.
"We decided to go for early autumn shades since the wedding was mid-September. Flicking through the hotel's Instagram account we saw a previous wedding's photos and just fell in love with the colours and decoration. Jo Hicks and Sam from Linen and Lace worked together to create our decoration and did an amazing job."
"The food was excellent! All the guests loved it. For starter we had salmon raviolo with garlic velouté and celeriac risotto, for the main course we had roast loin of pork and fillet of hake with braised lentils and for dessert, guests could choose from bakewell slice or yoghurt pannacotta."
"For both the cake and the photographer, we decided to go with The Montagu Arms's recommendation and we weren't disappointed! The cake by Sarah Louise Cakes was absolutely delicious and the photographer, Scott of ASR Photography, made sure we got great photos and were relaxed on the day."
