Louise & Pete's Wedding Story
Louise and Pete got married at the stunning Colville Hall
I had met up Louise and Pete at Colville before their wedding so I knew how amazing the venue would be and the fantastic opportunities that awaited.
The couple had instructed me to document their day in a reportage style as they wanted lots of natural shots so I blended in with the guests and documented their day to include lots of their requested style of image.
We still went out after the ceremony to get the formal shots and spent some time getting some lovely portrait images of the couple. The weather on the day wasn’t great but we didn’t let that stop us, in fact we used it to our advantage and got some really nice creative images in the rain.
During the wedding breakfast, I noticed this really dark cloud heading our way which I thought would make for a great umbrella shot in the entranceway between the brick pillars. I mentioned it to the couple and they were very up for it. I went out to set up my lighting equipment, I like to get everything just right so the couple literally just have to pop out for a minute to get the shot, minimising time away from their guest.
My couples always worry about bad weather on their big day but I always say, don’t worry. Whatever happens, you will still get great images and you will still have a great time. Sometimes you just have to roll with what you have on the day.
