The Real Wedding of Liam & Christina

Liam & Christina's Wedding Story

This September we had the absolute honour of shooting a spectacular tipi wedding. Christina and Liam have been together 15 years and they wanted to celebrate true to who they are! They absolutely smashed it!
Liam has been an avid member of the cricket club for many many years and so it was only fitting that the wedding take place on the cricket club grounds! It meant they had tons of space and it was the perfect location for their tipi wedding!

Christina got ready at her parents along with her sisters and bridesmaids. It was all very chill when I arrived. The awesome Kendell Scott was busy styling Christina’s hair and it looked stunning. It was the perfect compliment to the wedding dress which had floaty bohemian vibes.
As the final few moments approached Christina stepped into her dress and it was really quite magical. The dress was perfect. It could have been designed and made specifically with Christina in mind. I’m not sure I could imagine her in any other dress but that one!

Lacey covered the boys shenanigans! There was the usual confusion about how to do ties along with the very touching moments between family and the family cats! A surprise transport vehicle had been arranged to take the boys to the venue. It arrived a little earlier than expected and definitely surprised Liam! He answered the door expecting an Asos delivery and was greeted by a vintage minibus! It was epic. After bussing the boys to the venue it looped back to pick up the bridesmaids who were so excited to use their tickets and climb on board!
Christina and her Dad travelled in a stunning vintage car and after holding back for a few late stragglers the ceremony got under way. Christina’s little sister started the proceedings as chief flower girl and looked super stunning with her beautiful Rapunzel hair.

Liam’s Uncle performed the cermony which was so personal and no doubt made the happy couple much more relaxed. It was an outdoor ceremony and despite the threat of rain, the sky stayed blue and sunny for them the whole afternoon. After group shots and food from the delicious food trucks we snuck them out for 30 mins to get some shots on the edge of Thetford Forest. It was very fitting for their style and the perfect backdrop to their tipi wedding. Nipping out gave them the chance to take a breath and have some privacy for their portraits. The light was dreamy and Christina was radiant and full of dazzling smiles. They were such a smitten pair!

The tipi came into it’s own in the evening, staying open allowing people to wander in and out and relax around the fire pits. The evening food was prepared by Liam’s Mum who went all out on am incredible grazing table which was truly spectacular. Nobody was going hungry!
After the emotional first dances it wasn’t long before we had to say our goodbyes. It was the kind of wedding we hate to leave and that for us is the perfect kind of wedding
