The Real Wedding of Laura & Colin

Laura & Colin's Wedding Story

We met in March 2015 after meeting online and clicking immediately over our love of cats and most importantly cricket. It was in fact a picture of Laura in the Smith Cooper stand holding up a scorecard that lured me in to message her.

We got engaged in May 2017 and started looking at venues, when we were taken into the Derek Randall suite at Trent Bridge we were both overcome with emotion and knew we couldn’t have our wedding breakfast & evening reception anywhere else! The room was just perfect with it looking out onto the ground as well as having a balcony for guests to have some fresh air during the day.

The wedding co-ordinator's at Trent Bridge were absolutely fantastic, from the initial contact, to the many requests we had right through to helping us set up the room at 7am on the day of the wedding - no ask was too much for them. Once the wedding co-ordinator had left for the day on the wedding we were in the very capable hands of the catering manager and her team, she was also fantastic at tending to our needs and ensured the day ran smoothly.

We had our wedding breakfast in the Derek Randall Suite, and as it was a small wedding party during the day of 50 people, this room was perfect as there was the partition during the day. This was then opened during the evening when a further 50 evening guests arrived.

The food through the day was incredible. We had canapés on arrival, followed by the wedding breakfast and then the hot pork cobs during the evening. All of the guests commented on how delicious the food was.

We were allowed pictures out on the outfield with all of our family and friends, as well as being allowed into the Long Room in the Pavillion to have some couple shots together. We also had a sparkler shot down the steps where the cricketers would enter onto the field.

We had the most amazing day at Trent Bridge celebrating our wedding with our family and friends, it was perfect from start to finish
