The Real Wedding of Ella & Jake

Ella & Jake's Wedding Story

It all happened at Polhawn Fort, as we thought it was a beautiful place to get married.

I wore a two piece dress from wed 2 be in Bristol, where I also got all my accessories, except my earrings which were pearl drops from a jewellers in Swindons outlet village. My mum did my hair and my friend Kate did my makeup.

I just wanted it all to be relaxed, beautiful and rustic… My colour theme was navy blue and I left my florist, Ruth Andrews, and my caterers, The Round Kitchen, to decorate and pull it altogether for us on the day.

I discussed the colours/flowers I liked and showed Ruth a picture of a bouquet I liked online and trusted her to bring it all together for us, which she did beautifully.

I got our invitations online and we had a simple wooden table plan with jars of flowers and moss. We had an M&S three-tier cake with flowers added by Ruth.

The Round Kitchen created a feast with sharing starter of cheeses, pork scratchings, cured meats, olives and a selection of homemade breads. For the main we had slow roasted lamb & mackerel and pudding was apple & blackberry crumble tartlet with a selection of red and white wine.

James from Fear Photography took our professional photos but we had lots of disposables on the tables and our friends and family filmed the speeches on their phones.

BEST PART OF THE DAY
I can’t choose… We loved the whole day!!
