Glasgow is filled with beautiful buildings and fascinating corners that make for really interesting wedding photo backdrops! When selecting your venue, its location to some of these places may be important to you for the photos…

Kelvingrove Art Gallery

This beautiful gallery reopened in 2006 after a three year refurbishment, and since then it has become one of Scotland’s most visited tourist attractions! The grand building makes for a fantastic photo feature.

The gardens surrounding this museum too are really beautiful.

Glasgow Cathedral

This is the oldest Cathedral on mainland Scotland and the oldest building in Glasgow. The gothic feel and style of it certainly makes it stand out from the surroundings!

It would make quite a feature at a winter wedding in Scotland.

Gallery of Modern Art

How about a night at the museum? Although this looks like the museum in the film, this is actually the Gallery of Modern Art in the city. It’s especially beautiful at night when it’s lit up, perfect for wedding photos.

There are many different exhibitions hosted here.

Perhaps slightly more creepy, but still rather beautiful is Glasgow’s Necropolis. It’s a Victorian cemetery on a hill to the east of the Cathedral. Over 50,000 people are buried here! There are some fascinating monuments here too.

George Square

And finally, we have George Square. It’s one of six squares in the city, and is named after King George III. We couldn’t exclude it from the list – it really is beautiful and very central, in close proximity to most wedding venues in the city!

As long as there's no big event on in the square, this is a great place to feature in your photo album!
