Nestled at the foot of Bosley Cloud, beside the tranquil River Dane and surrounded by rural charm, our venue offers elegant luxury for your special day. Available exclusively from May to September each year, Swanley Meadows provides a stunning and unforgettable backdrop for both grand celebrations and intimate ceremonies.
History
Swanley Meadows is hidden away at the bottom of founder Jenny's family farm, situated in North Rode, a charming village in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. The farm, a former dairy operation, was purchased by her grandparents in the 1970s.
Location/entrance
As you arrive at Swanley Meadows, you'll be guided down a winding track that leads you to a hidden paradise. Emerging from the tree line, four stunning giant-hat tipis unfold before you, offering a breath-taking and unique setting for your special event.
Ceremony area
Imagine your perfect wedding ceremony set beneath the majestic canopy of a 200-year-old beech tree, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. The grand tree offers a natural, awe-inspiring backdrop, whether enhanced with additional décor or left in its unadorned splendour. Drinks reception
Following your ceremony, our expert bar team will be ready to serve your guests reception drinks from our stylish airstream bar, offering a range of enticing drinks packages to suit your preferences. Alternatively, you may bring your own reception drinks for your catering team to serve. As guests savour their beverages, your chosen caterer can delight them with a selection of delicious canapés, designed to whet their appetites for the meal to come. This flexible and seamless service ensures a sophisticated and enjoyable start to your celebration, setting the stage for a memorable and elegant event at Swanley Meadows.
Tree planting
At Swanley Meadows, we offer the unique option to include a ceremonial tree planting as part of your wedding celebration. Your chosen tree will be lovingly nurtured, and you’re welcome to visit it anytime, creating a lasting, living symbol of your love story.

Accommodation
At Swanley Meadows, we offer 10 beautifully furnished bell tents, each accommodating 2-4 guests, available for hire on the night of your event. These elegant and spacious tents provide a comfortable and stylish accommodation option for you and your guests. For larger groups or additional needs, extra bell tents can be arranged through a recommended supplier, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay for all.

Hi there! I’m Jenny, the founder and heart behind Swanley Meadows. With a background in corporate events and a deep love for weddings, I bring both expertise and passion to every celebration. After planning my own outdoor wedding and my sister’s, I’m thrilled to share my knowledge from this beautiful place I call home. Swanley Meadows, nestled at the base of my late grandparents' dairy farm, has been a cherished family estate for over 50 years. It holds a special place in my heart, and I’m honored to share its magic with you. Each wedding here is incredibly special to me, as I love seeing every couple’s unique story and vision come to life. From your first enquiry to the big day, I’ll be your main contact, ready to assist with advice and recommendations for a bespoke and unforgettable event. (P.S.
