We are a six time award winning wedding venue who specialise in bespoke weddings. What sets us apart is our flexibility in our packages and a team that really care about your day.

As a family run business our main goal is to make sure you walk in with a vision for your day and leave feeling that was achieved by our team.

Lee our weddings manager is a passionate and enthusiastic individual who wants you to have the best day possible. To make this happen he has a team of professional and caring staff to support him and you through the planning process of your wedding.

Dave the head chef has created some quirky and unique menus but can discuss options with you regarding your wedding food package. There is no limit to his knowledge.

Our front of house team led by Lee, Jen (duty manager) and Emma (bar manager) are down to earth caring people who look after your guests from start to finish.

We have been running as a wedding venue for around eight years now and have six awards for outstanding customer service. We believe that people make weddings and our people are fantastic a what they do. We can guarantee that your guests will love our staff who treat everyone as individuals on the day and ensure everyone has a smile on their face.

The wedding itself takes alot of planning and Lee and Jen will support you throughout the process and on the day too. They have an extensive knowledge of event planning and also a host of key contacts within the industry to call upon to make your day even more memorable including stylists, photographers and many more.

When booking The Engine Shed you have exclusive use of the venue as a wedding couple and we are very flexible in our approach to your special day.

We had our dream wedding at the engine shed on 21/09/24; the day was so brilliant it far exceeded our expectations. What can I say? Lee is amazing; he worked so hard to make our day special; there were so many unexpected extra touches that he made throughout the day. I loved how he managed to get the timing for our songs spot on, and the comments he made after our speech were so touching. You could tell he was really trying hard to get it perfect. He makes you feel like nothing is too much trouble; we literally had last-minute guest, table plan, and music alterations, and he remained positive and helpful throughout. The staff were all polite and professional; we were showered with positive comments from our guests; we had quite a few “best wedding I’ve been to," “best party I’ve been to”, and loads of guests commenting on how amazing the venue is. There are some outstanding options for food. For our ‘wedding breakfast’ we opted for the carvery, which was brilliant. It’s unbelievable how much positive feedback we received on the food from our guests. We decided on the ‘best of British’ for our evening food, which was great. We were really surprised with the food service on the evening; we were expecting it to be self-service; however, we were pleasantly surprised that there was a full team on hand to offer out the meals to our guests. We opted for Tracey Williamson as our stylist, which was one of the options recommended by the engine shed in the package, and we opted for Paul Lockwood as our DJ. It’s hard to put into words how fantastic they were from start to finish. I could go on forever about all the reasons why, but to sum it up, we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. There were so many brilliant suggestions and ideas from Lee, Paul, Tracey, and Alan that helped make our day so memorable.

Lee the wedding coordinator is just incredible! He is so helpful, knowledgeable and approachable. The venue itself is quirky and unique, it is a real gem of a place! The chef's food is incredible, we recently went to a food tasting event and I couldn't fault the food!!
