Is anyone in the same predicament as me when it comes to the lovey-dovey songs at ur wedding? How come all the best love songs and power ballads r about break-ups? I love Bon Jovi 'Always' but he goes on about how "his heart has been bleedin since u left me", and I adore Westlife 'Queen of my heart' but she's going alone on her own way, and I like Meat Loaf '2 out of 3 ain't bad' and I like Reo Speedwagon etc. It's a pain coz all my favourite songs aren't suitable!!

Exactly same prob as you same songs too have finally chosen Aerosmith dont want to miss a thing! My sister is singing it as our first dance. Wanted stairway to heaven but H2b said no as wanted oldies invited to join dancing in second part so they would all freak out when we started headbanging at the last bit ha ha H2b said that was too cruel of me.

We are having the same problem too. There is a beautiful song by Ryan Adams Called 'Desire' but it's about pain and breakups too. Only one verse is really appropriate! What we did say though, is instead of having it as a first dance song we'll get our DJ to play it at some point during the reception. We don't think anyone's going to notice the lyrics by that point. We like 'Fields of gold' by Eva Cassidy though, that's looking like the front runner at the moment. There are millions of songs to trawl through out there, and y'know what? If there's only one line about breaking up, will anyone really notice? They'll be looking at the pair of you being all loved up on the dancefloor. Have the song YOU want and don't worry too much about it if it's only one line. xXx

try the Rascall Flatts its all about finding the right person and how they make you feel they also have a terrific one called my wish, which is a great song for moving forward xx and as they are american it will be pretty unique xx

I think if they are played later in the night when everyone is drunk it should go un noticed. I went to wedding where they came on right after the wedding breakfast and everyone noticed.... then the first dance was a song about basically murdering a good relationship..... x
