At the risk of pointing out the obvious, you need to order everything so it gets to you in time for the wedding...

Why don't you start with the date, and work backwards. At what point do you want to feel sure you have everything done? A month before? 2 months? How long is it going to take to choose BM dresses? What if you order favour bags and you don't like them? You want to make sure you have time to change everything, if it needs changing.

But it sounds to me like you're on top of things - everything time-critical seems done. Except maybe cake? That might be next on your list?

    Well done.
For the favours depends on what you are having if they are not perishable then order them when you can offford them so you wont have to pay all in once close to you wedding date. For the chair cover, do you know exactly how many you need? If yes and if you have room to store them properly then it is the same do it when you can pay for it. All that is done will not have to be done again.
For the bridesmaid dress and shoes then I would wait because they can change size so you'll have to change them, live it for few months before the wedding.

Yeah, if you've got 4 people all with their own tastes, you better start getting opinions from them soon, I think. You don't have to buy anything yet of course, but the earlier you start the better with that sort of thing!

I don't think it hurts to be extra organised. In regards to favours, centerpiece etc, as long as they are not perishable you can start getting them as from now really x x x

for bridesmaid dresses **gettin ready to be shot** why dont you just choose a colour and tell them this is the colour and i want it long length *for example* and let them choose their own style..at least its same length and colour it could look a bit unique and different cause i know that not everyone will suit the one shape or like some dresses

    just a idea lol

I think it sounds like you're on track. It helps to have a to do list mapped out for yourself according to how long each item will take. I've got a long list sorted by month it needs to be completed and am just working through it bit by bit. I gave myself six months to plan a wedding and am doing just fine so far, so you'll have no trouble :)

I'd do things like flowers next- people/services limited to one or two weddings a day.

Transport - you're a month ahead of us but you'd be surprised just how quickly things get booked up. The only reason we got the car we wanted was because they'd literally opened their books for that month 3 days earlier.

Flowers - if nothing else just have a look for ideas.

Get yourself a timeline going and put down when you want all your bits done by
    xxx

    It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

I think you cant do things early enough! From what others have said,it creeps up really fast! Im 2012,and iv made stationary, tiara, ordered bridesmaid dress, got some favours, got my photographer, got table crystals, picked my dress and got other bits and bobs.I cant book the registry or the reception yet coz they havnt got 2012 diarys yet! Sounds like your pretty organised though, and you have had a lot on your plate with styudying and the noisy neibour!x
