    hi girls,
iv just been to the hospital to see a headache specialist as iv been really bad with nasty headaches since christmas. its not migraines, nothing to do with my diabetes, and they're quite sure its not connected to my M.S. iv had an mri scan to make sure there's nothing else going on in there but just waiting for the results.
so they've said they are going to try accupuncture, as nothing else has even come close to helping, also it can help with a lot of things that iv got going on health wise.
has anyone had this done before and has it helped? did it hurt? and where do they stick the needles?
im a bit nervous about it, so any advice would be muchos appreciated. thank you xxx

I had acupuncture for my shoulder (and a deep tissue massage which killed at first but did the trick eventually). I was worried about the acupuncture but never felt a thing. Worse thing for me was having to just lay still whilst they were in!

Sophie i've had acupuncture because i suffered migrains and backache but it didn't work. My neighbour at the time was a sports massage therapist and she told me to go to a chiropractor which i did. My headaches were connected to my backache because my spine wasn't properly aligned. He did a few "adjustments" thats what they call it and my headaches went away. Unfortunatelly i don't think you get chiropractors on the NHS so you have to go private, but the best money i have ever spent. It's def worth taking a look a. Hope this help hun xx

thanks hun, ill definatly look into that if i get no joy with the acupuncture, i think its going to have something to do with my nerves in my spine connected with my M.S. but they just seem to be fobbing me off with a diagnosis of tension hedaches, will soon see when i have the results from my mri scan, im pretty sure i know my own body and im not convinced that sticking pins in me is going to do the trick, but im willing to try if its going to be free! do they stick them in all over you? xx

My hubby has it and really has helped him -
He had a motorbike accident 3 years ago and went through one and a half years of Physiotherapy for his back that didn't help at all so he started acupuncture and within a couple of months he noticed the difference.

He's still going after a year but has gone from once a week and still having lot's of pain to once and month and almost no pain at all.

    Does cost a fortune though.

Ive had it hun, however.... I had it for FEAR!! Fear of having my wisdom tooth pulled out! It was UNBELIEVABLE!!! After the needles were inserted into my "HEAD" lol I was soooooooo relaxed it was amazing! So even though ive only had it to calm my nerves I would strongly recommend it, what harm can it do????

well im going to give it a go, as iv said iv got a lod of stuff wrong with me so if it helps slightly with just one of my problems, it'l be something. iv been told iv got to do all sorts of relaxation stuff to try and help so massage is definatly on my list as well! as long as the pins arent in my legs i dont care where they go! xx

:) well trying everything makes sense really why don't you go to a church and ask the minister to pray for you that always helps me more than anything else although you would have to find a church that was comfortable with that sorta thing any with an alpha course on should be okay
