Me and H2B are struggling to find a church as obviously you have to be in there area to marry there. We live in Crawley and if you have ever been to Crawley there are no great churches and the one's that are amazing are not in our area :(... So if anyone has any great ideas about ceremonies in West Sussex please let me no. I have a big family so I will need to fit around 100 people in :). But if anyone has any great ideas I would love to no.
Thankyou :D
also we don't have alot of money.

For the ceremony we are willing to pay about 350 -400 x
Yes but the ones that we are interested in, were not aloud to marry as it's not in our area I loved St Nicholas church in Worth but because we don't live in worth we cannot marry there also I liked the church in Ifield crawley but were not close enough to marry there too apparently :( , getting very stressed out, so have been looking at barns etc.. but they are quite pricey.

Hey another Crawley 'bird' lol. My sister went to school with your H2B. Congratulations on your engagement. How is Michael? The hotels normally hold the ceremony for you and it would be about that price but you would need to pay registrar fees on top. The registrar would be about £450 on it's own. x
I can't believe we've actually done it

Me and my H2B are getting married at the Ramada Plaza (near Tesco) with ceremony (NOT including registrar), sit down for 80, evening buffet for 160, disco and a small drinks package it's coming to about £5000. x

The general rule seems to be that you need to have a link to the church, so you can often get married close to your parents, where they got married, where you go to church etc. It can be very difficult to get married in a "pretty" church that is not your closest, and you don't regularly attend.
It might be worth speaking to the vicar at your local church, though - ours is vicar at 5 different churches and was happy for us to get married in any of the 5. He might also put a good word in with the vicar at another church for you!
Good luck...

we are getting married in a church we have no links to really far away from us, (inbettween both our home towns!) we just have to worship there twice a month untill the wedding, if you get an apointment with the vicor and give a good reason they are quite understanding?

I might see if the church I like in Worth will let us do that thanks dolly :)

I think you should be able to get married at any church so long as you go a few times before. I think my BIL2B got married at worth church and he lives in Ifield. They just had to go a few times to get their Banns read. xx

I think it was Worth church. Is it the one that is pretty much right next to a pub? x

What you noeed to do is get on the parish register by being a regular attender. Different churches have different defintions of this- some its every week, some its a certain number of times, others its only occasionally. However the vicar will want to see if you are serious- and can refuse if he thinks you are just using the church.
