Hiya all, can some please explian this favour thing to me coz really i havce no clue, my MOH thinks that in a favour box there has to be 5 things eg 5 sweets ect..... is this true??? coz she said its supposed to represent 5 things about the day or the wedding or something and i dont get it....

TRADITIONALLY a favour is five sugared amonds representing fertility, wealth, long life, health and happiness.
Buta favour can be anything you like.

They used to say 5 things because that number can not be equally divided - therefore the marriage will not be divided either! As Dove says tho, they can be anything you want...I'm having mini choc eggs, so the children at my wedding can have them too! :)

Oh i didnt know about the 5 things!! We're havin gold heart chocolates and then a square chocolate with a wrapper over it saying details of our wedding.
But we're not sure what else x

I dont think the five things matter unless thats what you want. We are having mini cupcakes as our favours as i coundnt decide weather to have a wedding cake or cupcakes. This way i can have both hehehe

did people know that they used to throw sugared almonds like confetti but it knocked to many brides eyes out which is why they started being given as favors. hehe
