Right here goes. I really like this dress i saw on Ebay, made in china brand new, my fiancee liked it until we went wedding dress shopping, i tried on this one dress and tears welled in his eyes BUT it was £800!!! The one on Ebay is £100. Now my fiancee is saying that he doesnt want me to risk getting it from Ebay because of all the horror stories we hear about them, but i dont want to spend a ridiculous amount on a dress, i dont have the money to. So ladies, what do i do? x

Some ladies on here got dresses from china. Why dont you speak to them. Most of them were happy with their dresses. Also read the feed back the seller has and take it from there. xx

My H2B offered to get me one from a shop, but I know we cannot afford it, I saw one on Ebay I loved, so I took the chance, there was high feedback ratings from plenty of buyers, and the gamble paid off, it's perfect! ... the best thing to do with the China dresses is to get the "off the peg" sizes, as they are covered by Paypal (if paid through that) so if there is something you're not happy with you can get a full refund. To get a dress altered a bit smaller, shorter etc is easy enough and a lot less than the £700 difference in price tag! ..

As long as your protected by PayPal I don't see what you have to lose, you can try the china one, see if that works and if not get a refund and go from there.

Thats why I researched about the rules.... If you buy tailor made, it's not covered completely, but if you buy off the peg, if it's not EXACTLY what you ordered, contact the seller, if no resolution, contact Paypal, and they will sort it out and refund you completely... If you have any doubts, there is a thread on here "I must have picked the wrong site ffor mmy dress" ... But as you can see, the issue has now been resolved even more than we had hoped for! :) x

Firstly I have to say im shocked your H2B has seen the dress already and actually went shopping with you for it!! Mine didn't and doesn't want to know anything about my dress as he wants it to be a surprise! It's not often you hear of this!! (Just thought I would mention it lol)

Secondly I am getting my dress from China, should be here sometime in the next week or two, so I can let you know how I get on but mine is not through ebay!!

I tried a dress on in a shop and had that tearful moment. I knew I wanted the dress but couldn't afford just under £1000. I then settled for a different dress which was only £400. However I continued to search e-bay and a few other sites for the dress I loved and as luck would have it. It came as an ex display £250 tags certificate and next to new. I was lucky and advise you to keep searching or take your man up on his offer, you need to be happy xx
