I have no particular attachment to my current surname, it's fairly common, and also Welsh and I'm not. It's also my dad's name, and we don't speak. So I'm looking forward to being rid of it.
But I'm keeping it for work purposes - in my job it's an advantage to be untraceable, so a common name that I don't use for anything else is a good thing.

between me and my brothers we have three different surnames so my mum has double barrelled so as to keep a tie with us all! we are Ward-Mann, Ward and Towler so my mum is Towler-ward! It gets tricky when there are kids involved i guess.
For me it's easy...i'm keeping my maiden name professionally as it would be too costly and painstaking to re-brand but i'm changing to his name privately even though it's a rubbish name....Faint (awfull)

I am changing my name straight away. Although if I was working in a school instead of a college (first name terms with students) I would be keeping my name at work until I changed schools. But all my work emails etc are based on my initials which aren't changing so it will be nice and easy!

I seriously dont know! I love being nic ross.... but moore is weird as we both pronounce it differently. i say "moora" (im a geordie) and he ses "more" (hes from norwich)
so i dont know what to do really!
plus i know it wud pee his mum off if i didnt change it so im very tempted!
