Does anyone think that 8 bridesmaids is to many???

totally up to you. personally i'm happy with my 3 plus my daughter who will be flowergirl. i'd hate to have to find and buy 8 dresses for 8 different figures and complexions.

Ha, well it depends how old they all are, for a start - 8 adult bridesmaids will take up a lot more wedding photo space than 8 littluns :)
But I read somewhere, and it seemed to make sense, that it can seem too many bridesmaids if you've only got about 20 people coming to the wedding! So 8 might be ok if you've got maybe 150-200 at the ceremony..?

not at all, at my first wedding i had 5 bridesmaids n 4 or 5 flower girls (cant remember if i had 4 or 5 of them) anyway it turned out quite expensive, this time i'm having 5 bridesmaids and 1 flowergirl. Have as many as u are happy with and can afford Emma xx
I think you should be able to have as many as you wish, but I do agree with DP, it would look a bit out of place having 8 if there was only a very small number of guests x x x

well there's 192 guests at the ceremony an there's 2 adult bridesmaids an the rest r kids an their dresses r goin to b made to fit them. Xx

I've got 5 adult bridesmaids (incl. MOH) and 3 flower girls. H2B has got 5 best men (don't ask) and 2 page boys. I read in a magazine that a bride had 20 bridesmaids because she couldn't decided who she wanted most. so i think it's just personal preference really :) x

I'm having approx 50 guests (for the ceremony) and having 4 bridemaids and 1 flowergirl, my h2b is having one best man but no ushers...as yet! x

lol, you go for it, should look amazing, l'm haveing 4bm and my maid of honour is number five, so l also have 3 ushers to take the girls down the aisle, maid of honour and 1 bm will go down together, and on the way back best man will bring back maid of honour, my son who is giveing me away will bring back bm and the 3 ushers will bring back the other 3 bm, l will come back with my lovely h2b, it's all so exciteing so l think you should just go with it and have a ball x

Hey...as all the girls have already said, the choice is yours chick! Im personally having 3 but would have liked to have been able to include my 2 future sister in laws however cannt afford this extra expense. I suppose it depends on your budget....if you have the money then go for it! My bm dresses were £225.00 each and whenever I take into consideration shoes, bags, flowers, extras Im looking at a grand total of nearly £1000.00!!!!! For example, I went to a cheap material shop on Saturday to buy material for the bm shawls (wedding shop were going to charge 15 quid a meter) and was able to get the material (8metres) for £50. At the end of the day I did get a bargain but £50 is still £50....dont know how I'd have felt paying out for a total of 8 maids though!!!!

not at all! I have 5 at the mo, considering asking another friend, and my sis is preggers so if she has a girl she will be one too! so may end up with 7. In a wedding magazine this month one of the 'real weddings' had 15 bridesmaids! x

Im having 12 bridesmaids....3 adults,3 teenagers & then a variety of ages....only have to pay for my 4 girls tho, sisters are paying for theirs & children, wasnt going to have nieces as i thought it was too many , but my sister asked & offered to pay & now love the idea of having so many, but we have a large family so there wont look too many compared to the guests xx

you have as many as you want its your day, do whatever makes you happy, i have 4 and 2 flower girls and a page boy, we only have a small venue else we would probably have had another couple x

I saw in the news about someone who had 27 as she felt she couldn't choose between them.

Im having 7! Well Im having my MOH whos 23 like me, My big sister whos 25, my 2 cousins who are 18, my sisters who are 13, 10 & 9, my cousin who is also 9 and my flower girl who is 5! I am having 250 guests though

Have as many as you like the more the merrier lol I'm having 5 Bridesmaids aged 26,19,15,14 & 11 - 2 flowergirls age 6 & 8 and my pageboy is 4. H2B has 1 best man and 3 ushers!! Costing us a fortune for them all as we are paying for everything but hey ho you only live once lol xx

Have as many as you like as long as you are happy. Im keeping mine simple and so I have one bridesmaid, one flowergirl and one pageboy. My bridesmaid is my eldest niece who I have been there for since she was a baby and flowergirl and pageboy are my great niece and great nephew. x

I saw an amazing wedding in a magazine where a bride had 12 of her best friends and the photo's looked amazing. Don't be put off. If you can afford it and want to, go for it!!!
