My friend has been helping me plan things for the wedding, and has been a great help... until a few truths came out. She got pregnant in the new year, and asked me to be the god mother, I was so over joyed, and at the 12 week point of the pregnancy starte buying her baby things!!! Then at 24 weeks, she lost the baby, we were all gutted and really wanted to help her through things...... until we found out it was all a lie!!!!!!!! Published Date: 02 July 2009 A bookie's cashier stole more than £6,000 while working at a number of Ladbrokes betting offices around Northampton by altering placed bets, a court heard. A***** P*******, aged 24, doctored each branch's betting ledger and altered details of wagers to steal thousands of pounds from her employer.
Northampton Crown Court heard she was suspected of stealing more but could only be prosecuted for what CC ADVERTISEMENT
TV cameras in the various shops had been able to capture.
Puplampu, formerly of Thomas Chapman Grove, Southbridge, Northampton, pleaded guilty to 12 offences of theft and false accounting, committed in July and August last year.
William Falshaw, prosecuting, said she inflated bets by recording them in the ledger as higher than they were, would pay out if they won and then pocket the money.
Puplampu, now of Erdington in Birmingham also made up false bets as well as overinflating the stakes placed with Ladbrokes, sometimes paying herself on losing bets.
Over a two-month period, she stole £6,038, having asked for 22 similar offences to be taken into consideration, which happened while she worked at Ladbrokes outlets in Kingsley Park Terrace, Adnitt Road in Abington, Gold Street and Market Square and Park Square in Kings Heath, Northampton.
Mr Falshaw added: "Ladbrokes detected irregularities and began to focus attention on the defendant. CCTV showed she was the only person at the counter when the payments were made."
Basil Lloyd-Morris, defending, said Puplampu could not remember any of the thefts or making false entries into the betting ledger because she is bipolar.
However, Judge Richard Bray said: "The truth of the matter is your client was able to do her job at Ladbrokes and was able to commit quite a sophisticated fraud.
"The fraud required intelligence, working with her brain, memory and indeed greater skills than doing her proper job in paying out on betting slips.
"She faces a custodial sentence but I will adjourn for a pre-sentence report."
The judge released Puplampu on conditional bail until her sentencing later this month.

I know shes got bi-polar, but doesnt give her reason to be a complete psycho!!! I was her friend for a couple of years.... so glad it wasnt a 10 year bond or anything, shes doesnt know I know about the fraud yet!!! Just so shocked with it all xx

Sadly for her having Bi Polar disorder does NOT allow her to be a long term planner of fraud and multiple thefts that needed lots of thought and consideration!
she is a THIEF plain and simple..now, why she stole is for her to answer. I wonder how she will broach the subject with you..?

I lost a baby a few years back... and it doesnt affect me now... but that was spitful, selfish and hurtful what she did about that! She will prob lie to me like there is no 2moro CeCe... I dont want to talk to her right now, I have barely spoke to her since the baby thing, shes been calling loads, but i've learnt to ignore xx

OMG, the pregnancy thing is completely out of order. One of my ex=mates did the same thing, but she worked at Coral. She ended up in prison for 4 weeks, becasue she didn't do the community service or pay the fine. but it doesn't seem to have done anything, because she still isn't paying the fine or council tax or bills, she's liek teflon woman (nothing sticks) I haven't spoken to her since it all happened, becasue i couldn't bare to look at her (she owes me alot of money) and i found out when it was in the paper too. Unfortuantely Faye, I think we sometimes just have to accept that some people need help beyond our means and will do anything for a bit of attention, no matter how wrong/warped it is. xx

To have lied about loosing a baby is beyond a joke like! I recently had a miscarraige and the heart ache that i went through and the many docs visits i honestly cant believe someone would even think about lyin about something like that! xx

It's disgusting about what the woman has done, but I bet she will get off on a technicality due to some medical condition.
Although Bi-Polar can not excuse her they may well drum up 'normal' severe depression or even something like munchausens by proxy.

ther used to be girl who worked at the same factory as me who di that about bein pregnant. she even brought scan pictures in to show ppl, but wen the wages department kept askin 4 her maternity certificate she kept sayin she hadnt got it yet. the section she worked on collected around £200 for her and bought her allsorts and she left work on maternity leave. but the baby just didnt appear and she kept puttin her due date back, after 12 monthe she was still apparently pregnant. it turned out her boyfriend was gonna leave her so she said she was pregnant to make him stay. i not sure if they still together now tho. it really is an awful thing to lie about xx
