my H2B just isn't getting properly involved in the wedding things i was trying to talk to him about colours but he wasn't to bothered he let me tell him but it was a waste of time. He's one of them lads who like to leave things to the last minute and because there's 16 months till the wedding he dosn't seem to bothered atm i do try and discuss things with him but does anybody have any idea's to get him to be more involved?

i have had the same problem and i started a thread with a similar title and you will find it is the same with a lot of men. i was relieved to find out im not the only one and if i think about it i am glad i am planning it all as i will only be running around behind him re-doing all his hard work
xx but you could always encourage him to go with you to shops or voice his oppinion suggest things you know he will hate he will soon want to get involved lol

Don't bother trying hun! He is the same as 99% of blokes! Mine still isn't really all that involved and we have 4 months to go! Perhaps you can give him a job to do a little nearer the time! Many of the blokes see it as being too early, they don't quite understand that things need to be booked etc!

I gave H2B the job of sorting music, from the moment I walk in to the last song played by the DJ, he has virtually sorted the lot! he loves music which is why I gave him that job to do and he has come up with some lovely song choices!

What is H2B's passion? Perhaps its sport in which case maybe you could ask him to come up with the names of the tables for example if he is in too football then maybe you can name all the tables after players of his favourite team etc ?????

Hi ladies, I'd say it's because your weddings are so far off. Most men don't really care about about anything that isn't happening right now! I'm sure you will find they'll be more interested nearer the time. My h2b has got better and more helpful as the weddings got closer though I think he is more excited about the honeymoon than anything else! Men don't seem to care about detail such as flowers, colours etc but it doesn't mean they're not interested in the wedding. Could you give him his own jobs to sort out, maybe something he's more interested in like music, transport etc? xx

thank yu and your right id proberlly be running around aswell and he mentioned something when i changed my mind about the colour skeem being red but i gave him a compromise lol... i would take him shopping but he HATES it and just moans... maybe closure to the date like when i book the registry office it might seem real for him and get involved x x

LOL I know what you mean hun, I had to remind H2B that he has to vary his song choices, the music/songs he has chosen for the ceremony are perfect and we have a rock band in the evening as well as a DJ, his choice of first dance is beautiful. So I have been fairly lucky with that!

MrsFlude even if the tables are all named after something to do with Man U it wont be a problem (well it would with me cos I blimmin hate them yes im a Liverpool fan lmao) but it will be his little touch on the wedding! It will give him something to talk about and get involved with :o)

I've been waiting for you to mention the football Suzi!! Yesterday was not a good day. Bet your other half was well pleased, even though blatently our goal shouldnt have been disallowed and Portsmouth shouldnt have got a penalty!! I think we all know who should rightly be in that final!! Oh well, just the battle for 4th place to look forward to now!

LMAO yeah I apologise for taking it over as well hun but I gotta reply to that ^^^^ Ok I agree the goal should never of been disallowed but it was scored by an original scummer so im glad it was disallowed lol... I am still in two minds about the penalty! However it was never going to be the walkover everyone was saying it was going to be! Pompey have got nothing to lose any more, they have already been relegated thanks to the pri**s at FA doing not one but two dodgy fit and proper tests!!! I seriously don't understand why Pompey are not suing the FA, if it wasn't for them they would still have a fighting chance. Anyway time to bring on Chelsea ;o) x x

I'd would of gladlly had the colour scheme red but the maid of honours dress has been brought and thats lilac but i gave him a compromise and he likes it so i dont think he's to bothered... if we had a man u theme my dad would be happy because were leicester fan's but i'll definatly keep the encorperating man u into the wedding somewere... i'll also have some of his music played at the reception he'll love that lol... having the wedding at old T would be nice but as we all live in leicester and on a little budget that would be rarther difficult but i lovely idea x x
