I couldn't find any forums talking about this. It is a lot more common to make your maiden name your middle name, but how about making your married name your middle name? This was you could keep your identity, your professional brand; as well as sharing a name with your partner and kids.
What are your thoughts? Xx

Hey,
Me and my partner are double-barrelling our surnames, just because he is a Smith and he says its such a common name he wanted something different. This way you get the best of both. Personally for me, i wouldn't have my married name as my middle name and then keep my surname, but that's just my opinion, i'm sure there are plenty of people out there who have done this though.
There is no harm in changing your name and then keeping your professional name as your maiden name or brand. If you did decide to double-barrel your name and you already have children then i suppose their name could be changed by deed poll..

I have decided to add my maiden name as my middle name, I have never had a middle name so for me this will be like having a whole new identity.
