Hi! I was looking to get a bit of advice. I am getting married October 2018 and am currently 18 weeks pregnant (baby is due March 2018). The baby was not planned so in terms of dress shopping I have no idea what I am going to do now. I would prefer to start looking at dresses once I've had the baby and had a chance to lose a bit of weight, maybe July time. However someone said that I'm not giving myself enough time and should be trying dresses on now. The only issue is I am already bigger than I was pre-pregnancy and don't think I'll look good in any dresses. when would you suggest is best to try dresses and how quickly can a dress really be turned around for a wedding on the 12th October? Anyone else been in this situation? Thanks in advance x

    Firstly, congratulations on your pregnancy.

If you're not comfortable trying dresses on yet don't worry. Plenty of boutiques do sample sales where you can take your dress away straight away. Some designers and stores can also do you a rush order.

Hi Holly, as well as shops doing sample sales you could also look at getting a dress that you take home the same day - w€d2b are very popular for this.

    Congratulations on the pregnancy!

Hi Holly. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I brought my wedding dress in a sample sale 10 weeks after having my son and walked out the shop with it the same day. I've found a seamstress that is willing to take it in for me for £25 and she only needs 2 weeks to do it. I shopped around a lot for her though most wanted 4-6 weeks.

    Good luck with everything.
