we have 10 months until the wedding and I am wondering when we should start to think about getting the suits for groom, best man and groomsmen?.
I know H2B could get his now and would still fit him in 10 months as he has been the same size for the seven years I have known him but his best man is up and down in sizes all the time and as we are hiring we can't just get them altered.

We are booking ours a year in advance but only because it is an online site who run all their hire suits from one warehouse. I would start looking now into booking as some hire suit places only have so many slots.

My mum hired the suits for her wedding a year in advance. When they went for there fitting a 3 weeks before the wedding her husband had lost a lot of weight and the best man gained weight. The company changed the sizes free of charge as they stayed in store until the day before the wedding.
It's worth asking around and seeing who does this then you don't have to worry abut them not fitting on the day.

Depends where you go. My OH did his suit hire via M055 br05 and I think he did it about 3 months before. I personally wouldn't recommend them as we had nothing but trouble and rude customer service, but every experience is different!

Thats who we have used Nicole. They have been great. the guys can go for measurements whenever they want. they go in three days before the wedding for final fitting, if it fits they take it with them, if not the shop will get another size in two days for them to collect. We are in Kent and OHs family are in Liverpool and they are letting us use both stores and if on final fitting the guys in Liverpool need a different size the shop will send it to us in kent as they won't be able to collect as they will be travelling down.

My husband left it really last minute! Him and his brother are really tall so none of the hire suits fitted, so they had to have them made - I don't think they actually ordered them until about 2 months before? Typical of him really! I'd recommend maybe being a bit more organised and getting them there earlier - his came from a small family business where we live, and they were only too glad to have the custom, not sure if everywhere would be like that though xxxx

We are using Sl@ter5 also (in Cardiff) Trying to get the OH to go soon, as although there is still 11 months till the wedding - he wants to wear a kilt. We will be buying his outfit - but hiring for the rest of the grooms party

We paid deposits on the suits about 14-15 months before. And then just going for fittings 1-2 months before the wedding. The shop has only seen and met OH and not any of the other men and wont until the fitting.
