Hello! We are getting married at a non religious ceremony and my OHs dad keeps asking about order of service. Do you have one of these if its not religious? We are having no hymns or songs. What would you put on it?! Im really stuck!

You don't have to have one - to be honest, civil ceremonies are so short there isn't really much point in having one as you'd have nothing to go in it. We had an "order of the day" - we printed off one copy and popped it inside a photo frame which we displayed at the entrance of the venue, so everyone could see what was happening and when :)

I was thinking about this earlier and I saw a post of fac3b@@k of order of the day. Its was an a4 paper with timings of the day they looked really good and was thinking of having these made up xx

No you don't have to have one. It's really just welcome, vows, rings, kiss, depart!

We are having a civil ceremony and so will not be having individual order or service's but I do like the idea of having one printed out for everyone to see.
Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan
we are too having a civil ceremony and are printing an order of the day rather than order of service! Nice to hand out the guests something as they come in :) x

I was thinking of doing a chalk board on the way in to the venue with a rough order of the day, rather than order of service, as I didn't really want us to have the expense of printing order of service when there won't be much on it.
