Just wondered if I could pick a few brains. My h2b is a Primary School teacher and we are trying to figure out when is the best time to get married. So I was wondering how any teacher are/have planned their day to fit in with the school timetable. As I don't like the thought of h2b not having a bit of time off just before or after the wedding if we do it in term time.
Thanks in advance.

Do it in the summer hols, plenty of time to have before and after? If it's expensive then do it mid-week.

We are currently thinking middle weekend of the Easter hols in 2018. He gets a week off before and after. But I was just interested if other teachers did something similar

I'm a teacher and we're getting married August 6th :-) Gives me a bit of time beforehand to get ready xxxx
I'm not a teacher but work in a school office. I'm getting married the Saturday before Good Friday 2018. I have a very good headteacher so hoping I can have the day before off.

Hiya, my OH is a teacher, we are getting married July 17th which is the Thursday after he breaks up for summer. We fly out on the Sunday. We've done that so it's the cheapest possible cost on flights. If you are looking for a honeymoon straight after then do it midweek in the school holidays as weddings are cheaper then.

We are not teachers but had a lot of guests who were so got married on the 2nd Friday of the Easter hols. It worked out really well and everyone who wasn't a teacher was happy to take the time off to attend a mid-week wedding. Easter is definitely cheaper than summer hols. X
