    Hi all,

I'm just writing a quick post to advise you all to be careful when ordering wedding cakes from M+$

My husband and I chose a lovely cake, as we thought for our wedding. But, when it arrived it was completely the wrong colour. It was supposed to be white, but as soon as we opened the box to check it we could see it was very clearly quite a dark ivory. M+$ were not helpful at all and basically told us to like it, or lump it! Eventually, after about an hour of arguing with the manager we managed to get a partial refund but we were still stuck with a cake completely the wrong colour and with no time left to find another one we were forced to have it at our wedding. (I'm just glad we didn't order the ivory one, I'm sure it would have ended up being beige!)

I did a lot of research before we ordered with M+$, and read almost all of their customer reviews which were ALL positive. Since then I have left my own bad review, I have checked several times since I wrote it in April and it is STILL not on the website. M+$ ONLY put good reviews on their website!!

I hope this post helps other people.

Happy wedding planning, and good luck for the future!

Thanks for the warning. That's really bad how they only the good reviews. You have saved people's lives because with your warning, you've helped other brides not to go to M+$ for wedding cakes. I hope you and your H2B have a fab day, I just hope that wedding cake doesn't affect your wedding. Good luck with your wedding x

I really hope it helps someone out there. Admittedly it could have been worse, but on your big day or the lead up to it, it's not one of the things you want to go wrong.

Oh no, that is awful! I wasn't aware that they did wedding cakes but I will definitely steer clear now.

My friend got her wedding cake from there and it was absolutely beautiful and tasted delicious. No one could believe it was a high street wedding cake. It was much nicer than the cake from a wedding we went to a few months prior who had a bespoke cake from a cake maker.

Not everywhere is going to have perfect reviews so I wouldn't let this one bad review taint your view.

It seems like a good general option but hard to get help/service to rectify if something goes wrong. Worth keeping in mind x
