My partner and myself are both really into Marvel and the Avengers and would love a marvel themed wedding. We have some ideas to incorporate into outfits however we are struggling with decorating our hall! Partner is very laid back just telling me to run with things but I'm trying to find a way to decorate our hall ourselves that still looks nice. We are also on quite a tight budget but we've left ourselves quite a long time to start organising and are quite creative so would like to do at least some bits ourselves. Any ideas? Xx

Brilliant idea. You could have the centrepieces incorporated. Maybe have popcorn containers with flowers in side and marvel objects around this. Went to a wedding recently and they had card board cut outs of there favourite here's that had the faces missing so you could have photos. I will see if I can find the photos :)
3rd January 2015 I said yes to being your wife
10th September 2016 we will make it official

We added a bit of a superhero theme to our wedding recently:
We bought a cheap wooden Mr and Mrs sign that we covered in comic cut outs (hubby had a load of doubles but you can usually pic up the lesser known ones cheap or alternative use some marvel wrapping paper). We also made our own table planner which was a blank large-ish picture frame - we got it in the sale and wrapped the backing board with marvel wrapping paper which was £1 a roll from primarni. We toyed with the idea of table names being superheroes or marvel locations but we changed this in the end but that's an option. I had a marvel material garter which I got from et$y. All the groomsmen had superhero cufflinks. Our cake topper was a bride with a cape and eyemask and the groom had an iron man mask on. Our invites were gatefold and the interior was a comic page cut to size and then the insert glued on top with all the information on it that was needed. You can make paper flowers from comics - I looked into this but it was just too fiddly for me! We had jar favours filled with sweets that were tied with marvel ribbon and had a sticker on top that said 'The Dixons' and the date in a shape that looks like the old fashioned comic 'boom'! (if that makes sense) We bought masks etc from the bay of e which were superhero/marvel for use in the photobooth. Our photographer got in on it too and had us do a few superhero poses.
Best bet is to check pintre$t for ideas and then take it from there. Superhero weddings have quite a bit come up now x

Love the cardboard cut out idea Baker2be.
Could you use the different logos as decoration? I'm kind of thinking along the lines of Captain America shield, the actual Shield logo with the eagle and maybe even the Hydra one hung up on the wall behind the top table almost like a coat of arms. X
