So I have been stressing and looking at bridesmaid dresses I was originally going for pastel pink/blush but my h2b has decided he is going to have the royal stewart tartan which is red with blue, yellow and green through it, will try and post on my wall just want to know if it will go together thanks in advance

My h2b will be the Ross tartan, green and small amount of red I'm having silver bridesmaid dresses, don't really think you can match a dress to a kilt very well unless you go for the colour in the kilt and I always think a kilt next to anything looks awesome xx

My oh might be wearing his family tartan which is green with blue and gold lines. So I changed my theme to navy blue to have a slight connection but tbh I think have whatever colours you want as the kilt is just one detail where as your colour scheme will run through the whole thing :)

My OH is Royal Stewart (added pic below for you) but decided he wanted to wear the Hebridean Thistle instead. Originally my BMs were going to be in black but after seeing the kilt I changed it to purple and it all flows well now. His BMan however will be in his own family tartan (its traditional for the groomsmen to be in different tartans it turns out more than similar)

I think its really difficult to match BM dresses to kilts. My oh and ds are in their family tartan (Lindsay Modern) which is predominantly red, the other guys are in the spirit of scotland tartan which is mostly purple and my BM is cadbury purple the BM dress colour was decided before the guys kilts, but always knew oh was in his tartan as hes had his kilt for years

We had a the same problem! It took us ages too match a colour I like to my oh kilt. We ended up getting a colour chart to match up lol! I knew I wonted some sort of purple or blue, we eventually agreed on lilac ☺️. I will try and find a pic. X

My husband wore the royal Stewart tartan and I matched the bridesmaids dresses up to the red in the kilt :)
