    Hello lovely Brides!

What kind of cuisine are you choosing for your wedding? Also, how many guests are you inviting? :) xx

We're going for things that we think would appeal to the most people.. our venue's menu is likely to change between now and our wedding as they are recruiting a new chef and improving their food etc. but as the menu is at the moment we would probably go with risotto for starters, a chicken dish for main with potatoes and vegetables and a trio of desserts for pudding. We will have around 45 day guests and probably another further 40 or so in the evening. We're having an evening buffet where there will be your bog standard things :-)

Sounds so interesting! There are like soooo many things to choose from , but the most difficult part is to choose something suitable for everyone :)

Our wedding menu from our venue is amazing I have 6 choices and I seriously don't know how we will narrow them down to 2! I think we will go for one chicken and one beef option though and then we will also have a vegetarian too.

The choices I can remember are chicken stuffed with haggis and a whiskey sauce and another is sirloin steak. The starters again I have 6 to choose from and the deserts will most probs be a trio of deserts.

We are having 70 day guests and a further 50 for the evening Xx

We're going with a 2 course option for the breakfast (with tea's and coffee's after) for 65 people then a dessert focused evening buffet, it's helped to cut costs and I often find that most people can't handle 3 courses at once so this way they still have 3 courses just spread out a bit. We have a few years to set the menu choices but I am adamant the main course will be a roast (probably beef.... anything but turkey) as our wedding day falls on a Sunday (and it's NYE) and Sunday roast have always been a big thing in our family as it is the one day a week we all sit down together and spend time as a family, I will also have a vegetarian and a fish dish on offer, starts will probably be the normal soup/prawn cocktail/pate sort of thing nothing to fancy

we have decided that we will be having a haggis starter, chicken or beef main and a chocolate desert but just need to narrow it down. we will do our menu tasting at the end of this year beginning of next and we cannot wait :)

buffet will be a mixture of hot and cold with teas and coffes

If you were havign a buffet instead of a sit down meal you might go for items such as curry, bacon rolls, fish and chip cones, soup, stew and mash, mac and cheese etc
night time buffet you might have the odd warm item such as pizza, bacon rolls, chip rolls pizza slices and then sandwiches vol au vonts, meat platters.
some peopel now have a hog roast instead of a buffet to accomodate everyone xx

I've been in quiet few turkish weddings and I'm really fascinated with the fact that they bring unlimited cold starter (meze) I feel like doing something like that:)
