    Hi all,
New to this site but need some help. I don't have any sisters or close female friends or relatives who I want to be bridesmaid. H2B wants me to ask his sister but we've had a falling out and aren't really talking. I don't want to have her just because I need a bridesmaid. What should I do?

Agree with Mrs wade 2b, you should have someone or girls who you want, bridesmaids aren't for everyone though xx

I didn't have any female friends really, until more recently, and I had always planned to have a best man instead. I now have 2 bridesmaids and a best man, but no you don't *need* them. Only have one if you want one. And if you have close male friends, don't be afraid to have a best man/man of honour if you want one. Mine was so happy he almost cried. x

If you don't want one then don't. Have you got a male friend even that is happy to take a place?

You don't need any bridesmaids, but you do need someone with you on the day to help you to get ready, largely getting you into the dress but also fetching and carrying, as once you're in the dress you won't want to go running round for things. I did find my MOH indispensable, as she made sure breakfast was taken care of and kept an eye on time to make sure I was in my dress in good time. You need someone by your side on the day to support you, and it may be that it will be your parents or another family member. It could be a male friend or relative but you'll probably want a lady on hand to get you dressed.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
