We are meeting our photographer on Friday and he has asked us to bring our timings of the day with us. We spoke to our venue and asked him to email them to us but its seems a little brief.

    He sent us this:

The timings we have are that your ceremony is at 1.30pm, so guests can start arriving from 1.00pm.

The guests can start to be seated around 3pm for the meal, there is a little flexibility here if the photographer needs a bit more time.

The evening party will start 7-7.30pm till midnight.

There has been confusion between them and the registry office but our wedding is actually at 1pm, not half past! I did email back to confirm that with him. So does that now mean it'll be...

    Ceremony - 1:00

    Sit down for meal 2:30

    Evening guests from 7/7:30

It just seems a bit brief to me?!

I would just tell your photographer to be there from the earliest opportunity. Every wedding is different so timings are going to be different.. it's good that you have that flexibility. Would be rubbish if you had to miss out on some photo opportunities because you HAD to be sat down for your wedding breakfast at a certain time.

When I asked for our timings they said it was flexible too x

Oh haha, yeah I'd just tell him everything tbh. Or write everything down and just ask him exactly what he needs to know, then at least you have covered all bases :) when is he staying til? Does he need to know when you are cutting the cake and the time of your first dance? x

Cake is usually done before the first dance. Our venue have said evening reception to start at 7.30, cut the cake at 8.15 and first dance at 8.30 x

Yeah that's a good idea for timings. I might have to go from those. Feel a bit silly giving him times of like 4 things :/ x

I'm sure as long as he has the general idea it will be fine! He will have enough experience of weddings to fill in the gaps if there are any :) x
