Hi everyone, asking on behalf of my sister who is getting married in the church in Kirk Hallam, Ilkeston. They have picked this as their wedding venue as it has strong family links.
They are looking for a nice reception venue which is cheap, cheap, cheap as they have not long had a baby with two other children. Have looked at the Seven Oaks Inn in Stanton by Dale which is a good price for the venue hire but fairly inflexible on some things like alcohol etc.
Does anybody know of some little-known local venues that you wouldn't find by searching for 'reception venue' on t'internet? Something with a little character, possibly with a licensed bar that are good for a budget wedding. Even if we have to decorate it ourselves.
Hi I'm from ilkeston :-) we're having our wedding at st wilfrids church west hallam then having our reception at Draycott House marquee. What about Kirk hallam social club now it's been taken over? Xx
