Hi All, Due to some personal reasons my parents will not be attending my wedding. The only family i will have is my younger sister. Can she walk me down the isle instead of my dad and im confused about how we should set the head table. Can my sister sit next to me? Who else can sit at the head table, my Fiancée's both parents and brother will be attending.

Yup, do whatever you want hun.

My dad died when I was younger, so my younger brother is walking me down the aisle. If he wasn't doing it I think I would have my mum, if not her one of my close male friends. It really doesn't matter who you have walk you down the aisle, there are no rules-it's what feels right for you.

Same with the top table, if you want you could just have a sweetheart table and just have the two of you on it. Or have a round top table so your not all on show... or have the traditional top table and have whoever you want on it.. his parents, your sister, your best friend, your pet dog??? (maybe not the dog depending on your venue's policies.

It's your wedding day, you can do whatever you want. The only rules are you need two witnesses and you both have to consent ;)

Have it howeeeever you like :)

My brother is walking me down the aisle, and we are having a sweetheart top table. My dad is going to be sitting with H2b's parents rather than my mum.

There's no normal these days :)

Thank you ladies, I will have my sister walk me down the isle as she will be my biggest support.

Will need to discuss the table ideas with my fiancée and see what he thinks as he is more traditional than me.

my grandmother used to say "normal is a programme on a washing machine " .... mr lalas parents didn't attend our wedding so my parents hosted their own table and we sat with bridesmaids n my son plus our witnesses who had been in USA for our legal wedding

If you want traditional top table how about.

Mog (his brother) you OH (your sister) fog

That way you keep the traditional boy girl format but with your siblings sitting where your parents would be

But you can have it however you want

yeah like the others have said have whoever you want, my mum is walking me down the aisle. and my mum is hosting her own table as is my OHS parents, as although we love our parents they are not who we would pick to sit with, so we are having our BM, Ushers, bm's and some other friends on our table.
