Hello to all you lovley brides out there, you've all been very helpfull so far.x
Anyone know of any good photographers in the Devon area? Everything I come across seems to be £1,000 upwards with an additional charge for copyrights to your pictures, Is it possible to find a good photographer on a budget?

I can't help with that one sorry hun.. were having wedding disposables for everyone to capture away. My step sisters soon to be husband does photography as a hobby so he will be snapping away.
I looked at some when I first started planning at it was costing me £3500 so £1000 is alot better than that... but I'm sure some of the other ladies will know better :D

I'm having disposables on the tables and little cards with my email address on asking people to forward on their personal photos too. I'm thinking about contacting the local college though and offering them some money to a good photography student and giving them permission to use them in their portfolio if they give them to me all on disks.

Any of you done this? If you have how much did you offer them? x

we are thinking of getting a professional to take them and give us a CD of the images. I just reasearched and researched photographers to find a good deal. plus go to a wedding fair at your venue or near your venue if poss.
Ive found one for £380 in portsmouth. My chief bm husband is a graphic designer so we are getting him to then use the images to create a story book and print it. You could just get them printed - it would still be cheaper than getting a real photographer to do it.
Last night me and my h2b had a big chat and decided the photography is one thing we do not want to mess around with as blurred/bad lighting can ruin the photos and id be gutted not to have good ones to show our children one day. :-) xx

Hey thanks guys, yea i do agree Joey photos last a life time so you want nice1s!x However Puddleduck, my 2friends got married in Oct 09, they hired a proffesional photographer then last minute did what you said, offered a uni student (in their las year) if they wanted to photograph a wedding for there portfolio, a student came forward and offered to do it for free if she could use the pics and hers turned out better than the proffessional photographer! Am in to minds what to do what to do..
