Hi all, I have booked make up lady who has options of either normal make up or airbrush. I was wondering has anyone had airbrush make up ? Did you notice an advantage ? My idea is looking natural so not caked in make up but also concerned as I am prone to break outs!

I think you are better of speaking to your make-up artist about your skin type and she will be able to advise you, as they will know which one's best for your skin.

I'm dreading having to sort this out as I hardly wear make up but obviously want to look good in the photos.
If you go for the airbrushing let us know what it's like as you'd think it would be lighter somehow?

When I spoke to a lady about make up she said airbrush is better if you want something that will last all day/night. She said it's especially good if you get warm or sweaty as it won't come off x

After many trials of normal make-up, I decided to do my own in the end, but I didn make sure I bought primers and a finishing spray too. After seeing both airbrushed and normal, I prefer the normal look for a bride.

I think I will end up going for airbrush as I get hot really easily and want something that will stay on all day. The sweaty make up look wouldn't be a good look for me! x

I had airbrush and can strongly recommend it. It was so smooth and flawless, and I really didn't look like I had make-up on, which was the look I wanted.

I've opted for airbrush for my trial as my MUA prefers this, but she is also happy to do standard makeup if I don't like airbrush. Having seen her work, I think I'll like it, just hope my skin does!
I agree with all that have posted about getting hot/sweaty - my makeup on a night out looks great for maybe 2/3 hours and then I'm just a hot mess and really want something to last for the whole day, hopefully this will do so!

this is a god post, i dont wear make up often either and my cousin is doing mine, she works in Jo*n Le**s and does Y5L (hopefully you get my code) so im going for a triel, i just hope its not too heavy, i now you need so many different layers to help the photoes look good, but i dont know the firs thing about makeup lol! i love lip stick though ;)

Ive been bugging my work colleagues at Mr Lewis who work on different counters about make up lol.
One thing that has been mentioned is that your skin is less likely to break out with airbrush make up as apposed to normal make up, especially if your planning on using a different brand of make up on your wedding day compared to everyday. x

i have had a trial with bare minerals but was not quite the level i wanted it. although very nice for day to day use. so am having a airbrush trial with a lady on tuesday to see how that turns out. will let you know how it goes.

I had a trial with traditional makeup and it was fab, stayed on for ages, didn't look too fake, and so far hasn't made me spotty. My skin isn't too bad anyway, just a tad dry and sensitive so didn't need huge amounts :)

definatly pleased with it, the second the lady left (as she did not want to say infront of her incase i did not agree), my bm was like we have to have it and have her do it.(the lady was lovely)
was totaly flawless, but have decided i want the eye make up a little lighter and going to get semiperminant eye lashes as opposed to the stripper lashes as they don't stay on great.

to give you a idea of price, lady charges bride £70 including trial, £35 for bms and if bms want a trial is extra £25. plus fuel if outside of a certain area. but i have seen it advertised for alot more
