you will be informed depending on where you are marrying ie registrar office or church ..... if you are having your ceremony at a hotel etc it will come under the registrar office rules

We had a letter a few days after booking our registrar which detailed everything including when we should arrange to give notice. It is usually a year before.. They have given us a 3 month window x

With ours,a civil ceremony, we just booked a slot once it was within the year, one that me and hubby would be free...sometimes being given a window doesn't work as everybody has things pop up so you should be able to make an appointment anytime now really as you're just within the year x

You can't give notice more than a year before your wedding and as long as you do it at least month before you should be fine. I get married Sept15 and will be giving notice in February xx

Think it depends on the area, our you can give notice from 1 year before the date up to 8 weeks before.

On the official giving notice site, it does say you can give notice up to 15 days before the wedding but that's the limit? I think some areas make up their own rules to try and make it easier on them but if you're unsure, look at the official guidelines in the giving notice website as some areas sound like they're making things awkward...ours was completely open and said anytime between the one year and up to 15 days before...no restrictions, which is exactly what the website says x

The notice of marriage had to be up for 15 days before the wedding date, hence the requirement for a minimum of 15 days before :)

A year before your date up until 15 days before as mentioned. It lasts for a year too so if for say you went to give notice 1st December you could still legally get married up until 1stdecember 2015 if for any reason you have to postpone, but you can also marry early from the date you give your notice.
