Well it's done and it went well. My MOH had a panic when she realised the time of it and was stuck at church. She's had an awful time and struggles to keep track of everything. I didn't want to say give it a miss as she was looking forward to it, so just said join us when you can, which she did. The cheese and wine tasting was great fun, with a quiz and plenty to drink. Then we went to a pub which used to be a theatre, and still has a balcony. MIL challenged mum to get a balloon over the balcony and mum got told off for standing on a chair. Then MOH suggested a Cuban place, which a was a great idea as people could dance, or sit with a drink. MIL brought sashes for everyone and a veil and L-plate for me, and we all had animal ears (I was a giraffe). Mum and I also had tails, and some people did noses and whiskers. All in all a great night, although one lady had to go home to a crying baby. I was gutted for her as she really was looking forward to a night out. She managed about an hour and a half.
