My sister and I are putting a list together of who I would like for the weekend away and the home leg of the hen do.

I was speaking to my friend who said she wouldn't know until about 3 weeks before the weekend away so I should leave it till nearer the time to book.

My sister wants to get it booked sooner than later so there is a bigger chance of getting what we want out of the weekend and possibly cheaper.

Its looking like it will be this time next year for the weekend away and depending how much it costs we may go abroad. so how soon would you book or would you leave it until nearer the time.

The home leg we cant book until nearer the time anyway so that's not so bad,

I would do it as soon as you can. Gives people plenty of time to save, book time off if needed etc etc

I've had a couple of people say this to me too. Well I'm sorry, but I won't be waiting until everyone else has decided. I'll be booking and if they want to come, they'll have to pay a non-returnable and if they decide not to come after that then tough!

I'm also planning on booking in august for February time with something that'll be less than £100 for three nights away. So not exactly expensive. If I were you I'd just book now xx

My girls have just booked for the 6 of us for my main hen which is beginning of may next year (no idea where but im almost certain its abroad)...they are sending out an invite to everyone else in the next week or so telling them when, where etc and advising them the date of the local hen if they can't make/afford the trip away...that way we are all booked up and people who want to go can do so in their own time without it affecting the core people who are already committed. :) they will be arranging the activities etc at a later date when they have numbers confirmed but wanted to get the dates at least in people diaries. xx

I wouldn't say it's too early at all. It's best to give people time to save for it. Unfortunately it will almost always be impossible to find a date that everyone can do so I'd book when you want to xxx

I would do it as soon as, if it is a case of people do not know their rota for that weekend, they could always request it off if they do shift work.

I would go ahead and book it. My moh has already booked my hen do for March next year and checked with everyone who could afford / make it. Guaranteed rooms and got an early deal as well, so win win!

I would book it - we booked things quite early on but only finalised numbers towards the end.

Yes I would book sooner rather than later. The problem is you will always have people either dropping out or wanting to come last minute so I would make it clear you need a non-refundable deposit xx
