Hi, I'm new to the forum and at beginning stages of planning our wedding. We have found a photographer we like but they don't do photo books, included in the package only Images on a DVD. Has anyone else gone with a photographer without creation of a photo book included in the package and produced your own? If so any recommendations for websites/companies to use would be appreciated. Thanks

It did my own photo book .... Sooooo easy
Can't leave you links etc on here as they are not allowed on the forum , you will need to un-restrict your profile so they can be left on your wall .
You'd be able to do your own book fine and of a professional quality if the photographer has taken/edited the pictures too! I made a photobook with my baby's pictures that we had taken ourselves over the months. It came back and is lovely although some of the picture quality isn't great. If they had been professional pictures taken by a photographer it would have been stunning!
I am planning to have a photo only/disk option and make my own book x

im doing my own, i did one from a boudoir shoot and once id stopped being thick and realised what to do it was so easy!

Hi Claire, my OH and I have decided the same and not opting for the photo book but just a CD of both the end results and the original pictures before editing. :-)

I specifically found one who would do it without book, you can easily do it online now. I found alot tryed to shove albums etc down my throat which I hated! As they get quite a bit more money from it.
Met June 2009 on my Birthday,Met again July 2009 and got
together, May 2010 Moved in,Jan 2011 got pregnant,
August 2011 Got our own place, 2011 Had our Baby Girl,
Dec 2011 Got engaged, July 2015 Getting married! Yay!

My sister and BIL did their own with v15t@pr1nt, it turned out great plus they mixed in some shots from their guests which were professional quality.
We had 7 albums included in our package (master, 2 parent album and 4 mini ones), but I decided to do an unofficial album (took me a year to get around to doing it) with the professional pics we couldn't get into the official album because we liked so many our photographer took, then also included pics from our guests as they got pics our photographer didn't get (3 of our guests are semi professional photographers so we had lots of good ones). The unofficial album started with our engagement shoot (taken by our photographer), then the stag and hen weekends, the big day finishing with our honeymoon. I did it through b00t5 photo online. Turned out fab!

im gettin married in april 2015 ....and specifically opted out of the book/album side of photographer...they are overpriced and you can do it so much cheaper and on a more personal level yourself.

Not all of them are overpriced, our package was very reasonable given how much we got included in it.
Just do whatever is best for you though x

My bils dad is doing our photography and we just need to get a photo book (he's barely charging us for it) we will sit down and go through websites to see which has photo books cheapest and he will help us place them in it.
After 7 years and 11 months he proposed to me 18.10.13

We originally wanted our own photo book, then 4 parents books but decided to go with our own professional book and make out own parents albums so we can put different photos in mainly for that particular side of the family. Lots of regular deals on gr0up0n, vist@print, fotobox
