I've been talking about the date of my hen night to my bridesmaids and wondering what everyone's thoughts were. If you have had your hen, how long a gap did you have between your hen and your wedding? Or how big a gap are you planning to have between your hen and your wedding?

I was thinking possibly the first May bank holiday, we're getting married on the 8th August so it would be 3 months before the wedding, is that too far away from the wedding?

I'm having mine the weekend of 21st March and getting married 30th May 2015 so having mine just over 2 months before. I didn't want to have it too close to the wedding so I can concentrate more on last minute things. Also my work leave runs April to April so this way I use days from my allocation this year for hen and don't lose any for my April 2015 leave year (I need to keep as mush as poss for wedding).

Mine will be in 3 weeks but the wedding isn't until October because one of my BMs has 4 other weddings to attend this year and that was the only weekend she could squeeze me in.

I am having my main one with BM's on the May day bank hol weekend and i think my other one will be 2-3 weeks before that...and h2bs stag will be around the same...we get married on 29th May...I think 3-6 weeks is about standard but i don't think it really matters to be honest! xx

I'm thinking the weekend one will be the May weekend at the end of May. And the night out at home will be July time depending on what nights the hotel have on. I get married 15th August so the weekend will be about 10weeks before.

hes been on his stag this weekend and my hen is 4th July weekend and we get married 6th Sept. I think anything from 3-4 months up to a few weeks before is fine its personal preference! I asked him to have his around now in case he needed to grow his eyebrows back or anything silly lol x

Well still no decision on the date but my fiancé thinks I should have mine at the end of June because then I will have finished my uni course for the year so def won't have to worry about any exams or assignments being handed in just after the hen... it's something to think about anyway
