Hi! I had some photos taken yesterday and they are awful! Everyone else says I look beautiful but I have really big bags under my eyes, puffiness and crows feet! I'm 32 and wasn't expecting to have these issues until my 40's! How wrong was I?! Anyway I now need to start using eye cream apparently and was wondering if any of you who use it could recommend a good one? Or any other tricks you may have will also be most welcome! I have 3 and a half months to get my youthful looks back! :)

I get really dark circles under my eyes - I literally look as though I've been punched in each eye and it looks even worse in photos! I'm hoping whatever cream is suggested for your bags will also work miracles on my dark circles.

Combination of routine and using L@real double lifting cream and eye cream and facial cleansing wipes work for me and I have eczema, through years of eye rubbing due to skin irritations I have serious luggage under my eyes. I always use the wipes and then wash all the make up and wipe residue off my face before going to bed and then while my skin is still damp I use my medicinal creams first and then apply the double lifting cream/eye cream and then it's off to sleep. In the morning post shower I do the same routine and leave it a while before putting on makeup. My bags have reduced quite a bit.

I'm guessing this was your engagement shoot? Remember as well you can speak to your makeup artist on the day to find out what tricks they have up their sleeve to reduce the lines. A good makeup artist can work magic. Also speak to your photographer about angles, shots looking down at you (you looking up reduce eye lines)

I use the Clinique serum, and sometimes the loreal... Different creams work for different people. I always put nano blur on after which is amazing.
The most important thing is to apply it gently, don't rub it in... Too much rubbing/pressure round the eyes causes damage which darkens the area.

Cheap solution is the age old cucumber slices. It really refreshes the area and soothes tired eyes

Thankyou all so much for your replies, you've been really helpful. Thankfully it wasn't my engagement shoot...that will be at the beginning of August I think so hoping I will get my skin looking better by then! I actually went out for the day and noticed it on every photograph of me! I will go out tomorrow (today? I'm working nights so it's currently 3.30) and stock up on some pf the things you've suggested...including a cucumber! Don't suppose night shifts help either to be honest! X

O god yeah, night shifts used to have the same effect on my skin too hon, hated them lol. As Victoria said, talk to your photographer as they will be able to use angles and poses that will make you look good. Also don't forget, if you're applying any eye cream, pat it on don't rub as I've always been told it drags the skin around the eyes if you rub xx

Ah, if it wasn't your engagement shoot then honestly I wouldn't panic over much, photographers work with things like this all the time and just discuss your problem areas with them, they'll work with you and you can also speak to them about airbrushing, some will now do this as part of a package.
