There has been more stress and tears over my hen do than the whole wedding. It was all booked to go to brighton in march there was about 12 going then a month and half before everyone started to drop out. So without really wanting to agreed to go somewhere closer to home for 1 night instead with my sister in law saying she will help organise it and my mother in law would go too because it was closer. Now the date has changed to 25th may they complained when i said i wanted to do pole dancing so now we are doing cocktail making instead which was their choice that i thought would be quite boring. And now people are complaining about how much it will cost so we're not staying over night. And now iv said i want fancy dress thats been knocked back too. And to make things worse my h2b has just got back from his stag to benidorm with 15 of his closest friends and cant stop telling me how good it was. I just feel like this is going to be the worse hen night ever :( sorry about the rant its just getting me down. X

Oh bless you. How awful! I know how you feel, my moh organising mine as a surprise so don't know what we're doing but there was 12 but now 3 have dropped out, and on Sat my fecking sister tells me she doesn't want to go!
H2b is having loads of people at his and I feel a tad unloved :-(
It's your night why can't they just put up and shut up??! You know that the most important people will make the effort and you will have a fan time - it's quality not quantity !x

I know iv been planning it since last august so they have had plenty of time to save. My mother and sister have been great with it all tho witch is a surprise because i thought they would be the ones dropping out. And my h2b has been great too he had a big argument with his mother and sister again over it the other day saying its my hen do and why cant you just do what i want lol. I just wish i went to brighton in march now with the people who really wanted to go it would be all over now.

Do you ever know where you are going on yours? I dont think i could leave it up to anyone to plan mine id be going to the lacal for a meal 2 for 1 lol x

I know what you mean!! Mine started out as going abroad then ppl said too expensive blah blah blah so then changed to a night away then people said too far to travel etc so now I'm so bored of it just gonna have a meal out and drinks afterwards I didn't really want that as am not that much of a drinker!! But there we are hope you manage to get something sorted :))

It sucks that you're not getting to do what you want.

My hen doo was poor. People had a year to book the weekend and save, but hadn't. It ended up just being me and my 2 bridesmaids.
Plus, they booked Stockholm - which is good for a cultural getaway, not for a henny :-(
There's few bars and clubs, and it is expensive.!

Oh, and I got food poison, and one of my bms got an ear infection.

I hope no bride ever has a henny like mine.

We're going abroad for mine and I know people will moan but I've told my bridesmaids even if it ends up just us 5 I will be happy!if loads of people don't come I said il just arrange a night out in bristol for the others. It's just as expensive going abroad somewhere cheap for the weekend than going to England somewhere and people still moan.

Unfortunately we will never be able to please everyone.

Can you and your bridesmaids/ closest mates not just go to Brighton for the night and do fancy dress? Screw the rest!!

Sorry you're having a hard time Hun xx

i know that we are off to brighton - but thats only cos my sister let the cat out of the bag! My MOH has booked through a hen night company, so who knows what it involves - my other BM says there a good balance of tack and non tack! lol
as with you though - it was organised last Sept and we are going in Aug so people have had a year to save and I think its about £100pp so its not mega expensive!
I hope you get something sorted and that you have loads of fun! xx

Mine was exactly the same,it started off as 11 of us and I really wanted to go to Blackpool for the weekend, they all had around 10 months to save and tbh it was only about £60 per person for the weekend anyway in Blackpool so wasn't too exprnsive, but most said they couldn't afford it or couldn't go that far for one reason or another so I changed it to closer to home, literally 15 minutes down the road,so everyone said they were coming again as they didn't need to stay a whole weekend and could get a taxi home after the night out, well everyone started to drop out or just ignore my messages about hen do (it's funny how these were the ones that I changed the whole weekend for in the first place) so in the end it ended up with just 5 of us.still thinking about it now makes me mad, especially when I know on Saturday they will make sure they turn up for the wedding for free food/drink lol.just do what you want to do its your night not theirs and if they don't like it then tough,I wish I hadn't changed my plans for everyone else!!!
