    Hello :)
We are in the process of planning our wedding for August 2015. We have a tight budget and doing a lot of things ourselves like the decorations and favours etc. I really like the idea of making all my centre pieces and bouquets and buttonholes myself but not sure whether to use real flowers or silk flowers... Has anyone used silk flowers for their wedding or seen it done? Do they look just as good as real flowers or do they look tacky? Any thoughts would be really appreciated! Thank you :)

I used silk calla Lillie's from the bay. Got them, ribbons, grass, all for around £20. That was my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids and 7 button holes

I think silk can look beautiful! When I went to my florist, she made a mock up bouquet for me of silk and it just looked gorgeous! But personally I always prefer fresh flowers. Of course, it would all come down to price in the end really won't it? I hope you make the best decision for you :)

If you wanted real but wanted to do it being cost effective g00gle gypsophilia bouquets. It's usually used as a filler but can look really effective. It's what I'm using for centrepieces, buttonholes and all bouquets, although I'm having pink tulips in my bouquet. We're doing it ourselves, and it'll cost about 25p a stem and 28p per tulip xx

We're using foam flowers. Much cheaper, look gorgeous and I can keep them forever! X
